Actually, the skis are made by Dynastar, one of the best manufactures around, but made in France. ( does it use French belts?)

I would like a pair, but not at that price. Maybe they will show up on ebay for $200 one of these days....... ( without service records)

Still don't think I will drive my 328 up to the ski area, but I have taken my Fiat many times..........

On that note, I think I will go skiing today.....
    Enjoy,
    Bob

I thought they would have started with Apres ski boots and moved up (or down?) from there.

I would be genuinely embarassed to go skiing in those... if I saw someone else wearing them, I'd probably poke fun at them endlessly... "does it have a V8?"... "do they go faster with the Ferrari logo on them? Or just empty your wallet faster", etc, etc.

I've seen some people in my industry do the same thing... apparrel, cologne, soap, electronics goods... I think the brand is definitely being weakened, but if so it will come around and bite them in the ass.

When I went to visit the factory last year they told us they make $600mm a year from branding and merchandizing. This stuff is obviously part of that equation....pretty incredible. I have to imagine that number will go down meaningfully this year given the global economic climate.
