I guess there's a category for elevator music? How the hell do these guys manage to win Grammys? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,489776,00.html RMX
FINALLY SOME AGREES WITH ME! Here's a REAL rock star. Not f*****g Coldplay! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tEtmU3JV74
Yeah, I like Clocks and Viva La Vida, and that's it. Viva La Vida: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvgZkm1xWPE&feature=PlayList&p=8A72F3DC45CC6F0A&index=0&playnext=1
First off, the music nowdays are dead to me. I listen to nothing new, except trance and balaeric tunes. Rock? Rock is pretty much dead these days, and i have no idea who the hell would put Coldplay in the rock category. Common..rock category belong to music like Creed, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, etc. Not some crap band that produces the same type of music more less for their entire album, and a lead singer that mumbles throughout the song. Coldplay were good, i think their debut album was great. Thats all.
The Grammy's and the Oscars are just a big PR scam. Do you know how you get your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Easy. Just pay $25 grand to the committee. Don't believe me?....From the horse's mouth: http://www.hollywoodchamber.net/icons/faq.asp Isn't ironic that whenever someone gets a star, it's just before some movie release of theirs? Hmmmmm. Coincidence? I think not.
Yep, in the day Jimmy was considered the world's greatest rock guitarist. Saw him perform live in the 60s; FANTASTIC!
Feeling slightly ripped off over their last CD X&Y, I listened through the whole new album before buying it... and I thought it was weak and un-inspired.
Clocks is good, but they had a few other decent songs, like Viva La Vida and In My Place. But nothing after those.
I have no idea who or what 'Coldplay' does, but then again I have not listened to (much) music on the radio in probably 15 years. I could not tell you a Brittney Spears or Christina Aguelera song if you held a gun to my head.. no clue at all, but they seem to be in the news a lot.
Someone gave me the album "Parachutes" several years ago. I listened to it, then I listened to it again just to see if I missed the good part. There was none. I haven't listened to it since, and I've hated all of their newer stuff that I've heard.
I dunno, I like some of their stuff (Clock, beautiful world, violet hill), but you've gotta be careful, a lot of its trash.
I seriously cannot understand why anything that sounds like dentist office background music would be considered Grammy-worthy. When I say they suck, I really mean it. I do like Jennifer Hudson's newest track "Spotlight". Good ol' R and B. RMX
IIRC, you used to be in the music industry? Care to link us your original works that are as good or better than Coldplay's stuff? Not trying to be ******, but I am interested in the quality of your original work.
I don't need to be able to beat Alex Yoong around a track in an F1 car to be able to say he was a sucky F1 driver.
