DFW Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

It is a kit. The owner has been building it for quite some time now. He lives in a neighborhood off of White Rock Lake. I happened to see it in his driveway. I parked and chatted with him for a bit. He said he would try to get it running at least and possibly get it into one of the runs at a later point in time...

 

Well he got it running! Do you have a pic of it? I only got a quick glance, and would like to fully appreciate it.

Yesterday, a black Porsche Carrera GT cruising on Dorothy Lane & about two hrs later a grey 427 Cobra replica.

 

Pics were not allowed since it was in his driveway/garage. He did all the fiberglass work himself, modeling entirely off of the GT40. It has been a work in progress for quite a few years, an hour or two at a time.
I should swing by again this week to check on it...

Boy did I ever have a good spotting day Saturday!

First, my first spotting of a new Nissan Skyline GTR. Neat!

Then... holy crap... my first sighting of a FERRARI 275 GTO!!!!!!!!!!! WOW.

Later on that day, errrr... night, I saw 6 older Nissan Skylines pass me on 75, and then saw a white 360 convertible with I believe red interior (not positive about that interior, it was 9 pm) on University.

 

Our local VTTT Diablo is at Lambo Dallas getting freshening.

Spotted black Countach on a trailer in Lubbock on saturday.

 

I'm pretty sure that's what it was. It was pulling out of a driveway in a very expensive neighborhood, and the owner had one of those new SL63s or whatever on his driveway, so he obviously had some money.

 

275 GTO never existed, 250 GTO did.

275GTB also exists as does a 288 GTO.

I think this is what Rob was trying to say.

I've definitely not seen anything like that in Dallas before at any of the Ferrari shows I've been to.

 

Ah, I didn't know that. Well, this one was red and a coupe, and definitely not a GTO. I'd love to see a GTO, but so far, this is one of my better sightings.

 

Ah, I see. I haven't heard it mentioned in quite a while...

 

I think I caught a glimpse of Aldo's red 430 spyder at his shop in Rowlett around lunch.

 

What all does he own? Did you get a chance to check up on that fiberglass project car?

 

He has 4 Ferrari's I believe. A 575M (I think), a 328 with a motor swap, another 328, and the 430. He also has a Maser Coupe and an amazing Ducatti, among others. I will leave the intimate details of his collection for him to describe.He has no problems giving a tour to an F-car enthusiast. Swing by sometime, it's worth the trip. Aldo's European in Rowlett.
As for the project, I didn't get the chance due to the weather. I have some repairs to do to my castle before it hits again.
Speaking of projects, how's your's coming along?

I believe I spotted the front end of a black with silver stripes 430 Scuderia at mockingbird and 75 around 11:00. It was gone before I could get to the hotel. Then Aldo had his red Maser cambio spyder in front of his shop this afternoon here in Rowlett. The Pbugs were out in swarms today also, for what that's worth...

 

Two Tone Veyron today... Manufacturer Plates too.. Heck of a Demo!
