Pics from 'Corella Creek', Lake Julius. Lake Julius is around 2.5 hrs East from Mount Isa. That road is out action for the rest of the year they reckon. They have to rebuild it from scratch! An NQX road train got caught in flood waters just outside Mount Isa 2 weeks ago. I have seen other pics of the truck driver sitting on the cab of the truck while waiting to be rescued. He was there for a few days before they realised he was missing They flew a chopper in that landed on the roof of the 1st trailer. He climed on and they flew out. He was very lucky. Apparently the truck is still there. Flood waters are still too high to get to the truck.
