    Hi there,

This has probably been covered over and over again but since I live in the cold North East and was interested in a car in Ft. Lauderdale area, can anyone recommend a few PPI places that would be within reason.

Also anybody have any feed back on Boulevard Autos in Ft. Lauderdale? Prior purchases, dealings, honesty, etc..

    Thanks for all the input!

I would recommend Tim Stanford (Tim Stanford Sport Cars) or Christian Fraga (Black Horse Performance) only.
Do you have an address for Boulevard Autos?

You can try the dealers: Ferrari/Maserati of Ft. Lauderdale or The Collection, but I don't think they will do PPI's........

    For non-dealer recommendations:
355 and older models.....Tim Stanford or Christian at Blackhorse.
360 and newer models.....Christian at Blackhorse.

    End of PPI story........

Tim is the Professor. and if you're going to keep the car in the area, he's the one you want touching your machine. 25 years in the business and very well respected.

Fred is right though: Tim has some Ferrari he likes to work on and some others he prefers to push on to others.
Mine belongs to the second kind and so are the 550, 575 and the one that followed, I suspect.

You are correct is saying that Tim Stanford is one of the best in the area. However, Stuart Robertson has recently joined Christian Fraga at BlackHorse. He was with Cressman-Baumgarten/Shelton/Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale for almost 30 years. Blackhorse is IMMEDIATELY the foremost authority on Ferrari's from 1980 to 2008 in the State of Florida. Stuart is one of, if not, the most decorated Ferrari technician in the US. Let's put it this way, when Tim Stanford has a question, he calls Stuart. Tim has been a friend of mine for a long time and I respect his work, he knows that.

All is good, thank you! I worked for my dad and Tom at the Land Rover store in Lauderdale until they sold it in September of 2006. I worked for AutoNation in the same dealership until March 2007 when I took a field job with them. That job ended in Jan of 08. I have since shifted my focus to Commercial Real Estate here on the west coast of Florida. The Shelton's did a ton of racing during this time. We ran a Porsche (I know, but we were Porsche dealers, too.) at Watkins Glen in 04 and then ran 2 seasons of SCCA Racing in 05 and 06. A ton of fun! Thanks for asking!!!!
