here are a collage of photos of my former car, don't wanna hear one crack about the HAIR! :D there is the 'the Hoff' legendary story told over the internet..lol!

haha, turning 50 in a few months and still have all of it :)

gotta be the one right down to the side marker lights, fronts were tiny square and rear longer rectangular...note side mirrors, etc.

I was a 'footballer' and long hair was all the rage! Good thing you can't see inside a Countach when you try and see who is in it :D

funny thing is I still have long hair :) for an 'old dude'

I suspect it would include a body check, darn what a jolly good time Keke Rosberg would have had ;-)

I think I have a picture of the white Rosberg Countach in Monaco somewhere in my files,
have to scan it, I will post it later...

    Ciao!

    1120002 !!!

It is often said that 1120002 is the factory brochure car. It is not.

Many thanks for that very interesting post.

Jota 5084: what does "provkörning" mean in English? Test car or test drive or something like that?

There are some pictures of 1120001 with the "provkörning" stickers in several books. I must repeat: your post is very interesting.

Note the different Lamborghini emblem on the rear side of the car, the same emblem can be found on 1120004 (red/black). Also note the six slits in the roof (serial car: five slits). Also interesting: the car has a black dashboard (this can not be seen in the post of jota 5084). The serial cars with "naturale" (tan) interiors had a dashboard in the colour "testa di moro" (dark brown).

Hi LC3929, yes provkörning means test drive, thoose stickers belongs to the magazine and they put them all the cars they take for an test drive. I got confused when i was looking at the ILR, it shows pics of #1120082 instead of #1120002 thats why i asked what vin this car had, i know we discussed this issue before on another thread, but didnt think about it when i posted the scan.

And yes, the car i scanned has black dashboard and six slits roof.

This is the finest Countach thread I have ever seen - truly great pictures and information!

Thought I would contribute with a few pictures of my 1986 Euro Downdraft - GLA12988.

This car has been in Italy from day one (still is).

The starting grid was right before the parade laps during the 40th Anniversary party.

I think your car is the finest Countach I have ever seen! It's spotless! It doesn't even look like it's driven! Can't wait until I get mine out of the shop.

    it is indeed
inside-out one of the VERY best countach around

even more impressive if you think it is a VERY desirable not side skirts black DD (and very fast with one good engine and the ANSA sport exhaust !)

it has one only BIG fault: it is NOT for sale

Now, after years, I know what "provkörning" means. Many thanks for the information.

Where did you find that information in ILR? As far as I know, ILR still states that 1120002 is the factory brochure car. The issue with 1120082 has been discussed within this thread. 1120082 is featured in the factory brochure, but, to be honest, I don't want to start a new discussion here as I am tired to discuss again what already has been proven. 1120082 is my car, this information may explain why I'm fed up with that discussion.

    1120001: four slits

    1120002: six slits

    1120004: six slits

    1120006: ??? slits

    1120008: four slits

    1120010: ??? slits

    1120012: five slits

    serial cars: five slits

Graphicar and posteriore140: can you confirm?

Today's topic is information, not pictures (thanks, jota 5084).

Your car is very nice. I told you before - I am the guy who showed the LP400 steering wheel to you during breakfast at hotel "Persico's" last year in July when Fabio Lamborghini organized a small, very beautiful meeting.
