Just a question to Joe and the others. It really is astonishing that you can just see a picture of what appears to be a completely ordinary red GTO, just like (almost) every other one, and then just be able to immediately know what the cars number is. How do you do it? Just years of knowledge and inside information from people you know, or what? Keep up the good work either way, it's an excellent thread this.
The truth is often I DONT know what the car's chassis number is, but there often is someone around here that does. Having said that, there are many cars that Im personally familiar with, and sometimes the car's registration or location allows you to identify it. For example one can look at this image of this GTO registered "CW-F.288" (which is a German registration) and conclude that it is almost certainly chassis number 55167. Admittedly this comes from having maintained records of all the chassis numbers for some time, something that Marcel Massini does more completely than anybody else. Either way, its always good to share the knowledge and that seems to be a useful aspect of the thread... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually, Im not sure we will get 12. That would be half the cars in the USA which is unlikely... but as they say, sometimes less is more. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did he change his registration plate in the last years ? I have a different registration in 2003 (but also Florida) for Charles'. Olivier
Dear Joe I don't often visit this thread but have just seen this picture. You might be aware that I have just sold this car on behalf of my friend, the long time English owner. Is it OK to forward this picture to him and the new owner of the car ? Kind regards Mark Shannon www.markshannon.net
