That's why I believe the 'F' will be dropped. If history repeats itself, it should just be numerical.

I am fairly concerned about the DC gearbox, from what I have read about these gearboxes they lack any sort of feel due to the change being so seamless, to me the 599 and Scud are about ideal, there is enough of a jolt to feel sporting but without the ridiculous "nodding" effect of the 360.

DCC gearbox is also heavier...thought 7 gears would help acceleration...

I hope they're right about this, but people's idea of "beauty" seems to be a bit off these days. The Aston Martin DBS is beautiful. The Alfa Romeo 8C is beautiful. The latest Ferraris have been really cool-looking, but not beautiful.

F-chatters, what about the drivetrain? Rumors say that the F450 is going to have an All Wheel Drive system. True or false?

I do know that the 4.7 Liter version of that engine is very nice. I wouldn't bet on AWD.

Funny, most F1 owners have longed for smoother, quicker and a less maintenance oriented transmission. Finally a solution in hand and your concerned the DC gearbox could be too seamless. What's next, too reliable??

Drew, that is what I was thinking, especially in parking situations. They can build the jolt into the tranny anyway.

I have a 2006 F430 F1 and a 2009 911S with PDK (7 speed dual clutch). I like both of them, but I would give a slight edge to the PDK. In auto mode it seems to read your mind. I never drive the F1 in auto mode. After service, the dealer usually puts the F1 in auto mode and I think it feels weird. I would prefer the PDK in a new Ferrari if for no other reason than the worry caused by all the threads on this forum over clutch wear and pump reliability (or lack thereof).
