I see that there are one hundred and one 360s for sale on eBay right now! Wondering if now is a good time to buy or should I still wait it out a few months? I have been deciding on whether to buy a 456 GTA or a 360?

Depends on your cash flow. There are a lot of people out there that talk about timing the market for the best deal. I bought mine approx. 4 months' ago and got what I feel was a good F1 360, 2003 with 9000 miles and 15,000 mile service for decent money. Could I have done better--Maybe,but if you look at my protfolio now vs then, If you compare economic fears now vs then, I might have missed a wonderful opportunity of ownership! Obviously there is an economic worldwide crisis going on currently. One unlike others in the past except we have poor leadership, and people with sheeplike mentality contolling destiny. It is better to have "lived once than not at all! My advise is buy it if it your dream!

    Salk,

Buy when YOU are ready! If you are wondering if they will get cheaper, who knows! You can always wonder if I could have had a better deal no matter what the economy!

Find a good car and buy it!!

Post pics when you get one!! Remember, some of those Ebay cars are double posts or they don't even have the car, they just want you to call.

Depends where you live, every moment with one of these cars is fun; so the sooner you buy one the sooner the fun starts; of course if you live somewhere cold/wet/snowy etc. then waiting a while can't hurt - I doubt the prices are going to start rising anytime soon, I just hope they don't drop much more :)

Your profile does not list your area but if you can drive it now, go for it. There will always be a better time as prices are falling, but the pleasure of ownership will offset a few bucks--- easily.

They WILL get cheaper... You can COUNT on that! The 430 is about to be replaced with the 450... 360's will CONTINUE to get cheaper and the longer the economic downturn continues the quicker they will become cheaper... Unless the car is VERY, VERY rare it will get cheaper as it gets older. That is the way of things. Now, given enough time the few remaining models with close to no miles on them might well become MORE expensive than their original sticker price (though in corrected dollars they will still probably be cheaper than when new) but that is YEARS, maybe decades, away for the 360.

Buy when you can afford a good one and still have $6k+ in the bank to bring it fully up to speed so that it is as reliable as can be expected so that your ownership experience will be a good and enjoyable one!

    Good luck!

Good ones are best bought at the bottem of recession :)

I would say another year before the sink drain is plugged.

the 2010 F450 is almost upon us...the current 05-09 f430's will see a drop, as well as the 99-05 360's.

Todays high prices are tomorrows deals.

Buy when you find a clean car. This search can take literally months, and you will almost certainly buy a different car then the first one you set eyes on.

Make sure all campaigns are done, and car is current with service.

No single car will be 100% flawless. You have to be willing to accept some flaws for the price and age.

Yes prices are still falling but they also firm up come the springtime. When no-one wants to drive them, ie the winter, prices are at their lowest. I agree with the other posters, buy one when you want one. How many times have you bought something only to find the price has dropped 2 days later (or gone up!)? A p!sser I know, but a fact of life :).

There will never be a more financially advantageous time to by a 360 than now. Buy a good example now and drive it for two years with a maximum depreciation of $10k - unprecedented.

The pleasure of actually owning and driving a 360 for 1-2 years versus waiting is priceless.

If money and depreciation matter, forgo the 456.

I felt the timing was correct but the right car came along so I pulled the trigger. Actually bought it from a Ferrari dealer. 3 owners, all sold by Ferrari dealers, 11k miles, red/tan 6sp, all recs and service up to date, books, tools, car cover, etc for $87K. Saw a few with questionable past and a price a few grand lower, but as i read always on F chat, less money paid can also mean problems...Very happy and feel I got a good deal. Last year this car was selling for over 100k

OK Ive been holding out on the details of my 360 for a while now.
    But here we go.......
Paid less than 75k for my new 360 spider...2003
I owner car with full service history from Ferrari of Atlanta.
Car is pristine in every way and is one of the tightest, fastest 360's Ive driven (stock)
The mileage is a little higher than most but I personally think that well maintained high mileage ferraris are the way to go.
Ive travelled through Europe extensively and rarely do you see a low mileage ferrari (driver)

that is an incredible deal.. they must be hurting over there in Atlanta.. I mean how many miles did this car have? 30k+? 75 is super duper low for a clean car.

Pay a few hundred dollars to have a proper ppi performed. Now is an excellent time to buy. Certainly, pricing will likely to drop further, but if you're in the market for one it's a great time to get in and add to the stable.

That is an insanely good deal for an 03, regardless of mileage. Did FoA sell you that car, or was it just serviced there and you found a buyer that needed to unload it fast?

    Both
FoA serviced the car from day 1
Seller was a customer whos 430 was coming in and he had to move the 360 asap to gain financing on the 430. Owner still owed 113k on it..yikes!!
Right place at the right time.......+ my brother-in-law knows the owner. :) :)
