Our friends at Classic Coach built up our F40 after one of the stock tubros broke outside of Vegas. The new turbos are garrett gt-28s that use the original turbo housing, so don't have to modify the manifold at all. Car has new pistons, sleeves, increased displacement and higher compression. The dyno graph in the pic shows 599 hp and 486tq but they managed to get a bit more power on a later run. Should be a fun car.

Here is a vid when it put down 490hp stock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FybrIDAyavA

Man, that car is gonna move with all that power.

Sounds great in that vid too! You say it made 490 horsepower "stock", but I see it at least has aftermarket exhaust. Is that 490 RWHP or estimated flywheel/crankshaft horsepower based on the dyno pulls?

    Either way....impressive!

Lovely, I've a stock one, EU version with only the tubi. My car run well over 500hp flywheels.... but that F40 should be terrific.

Good job! These engines can do a lot more than found in stock form.

Do you have specs? What path did you take to more displacement?

I don't know wich gear you are running 657 RWHP but if it was a 3rd, that car it should be really 750 hp flywheels. A power for low boost "race" spec LM. And that with a short gearing like US specification ratio (I don't know your TQ), that car should be extremely quick. Quick as or quicker than a Veyon I think.
The US versions are bit heavier than the european cars, but that is not important for a engine like that. A day, I will want to buy an other one for a full engine work like your and 750hp I think could be a perfect target of power, light as it is. Enjoy yourself, you have the funniest game we could ever have.

These numbers are impressive even for tthe standard ca. I was thinking of putting a tubi or whatever on mine - and have been told it will give 20hp over the factory item. Is it also necessary to adjuct the wastegate or just bolt the tubi on?
