What do you think of this Carbon Fiber key? I found it while looking for an Enzo key for good price. It sells for $270. Reasonable?

I had mine done at Ace Hardware.........works fine.
They did need to remove one of the safety guards to get the fat Enzo key in the cutter.

They are steel keys, so harder than the usual ones, but most good locksmiths can do the job. Mine normally charges extra, but were happy to be cutting this key. I heard of Ace doing them (not aware of any difference) and fortunately the two times both worked out, but I would hate to have a $xxx.xx Key screwed up.

the key looks BEAUTIFUL!! But think about this for a second. You can buy a plain jane replacement key for about $2.00, (generic fiat key- it'll work). SO, we're paying LOTS of $$$ for what? A tiny piece of carbon and a tiny crest? I'm not sure..............

I own two of these. Great key! Better than Enzo key IMO. I own one Enzo key. Carbon fiber key has better finish and weight.

I just ordered one of these, I can't wait to get it. I like this color better than the red (Rosso Corso) since my car is not Rosso Corsa. I will post pics when it arrives.

No disrespect but if we followed that logic through no one would be buying any carbon fiber trim/ paddles/ etc. for the car, period, based on the costs Ferrari charges.

I actually started this thread after looking into crazy price of Enzo key. I also refinished OEM key in red ceramic caliper paint that came out good, yet gets a few minimal knicks. Is the Enzo key painted and possibly chip also? This thought is what made me like the CF key so much, as well as price. To be honest, I forgot where I saw key for sale. Where did the people that purchased one go to? Also, can anyone that purchased one comment on look and quality in person? If sponsor with key is reading, can I get a discount since it seems my thread helped with sales :)

Actually, if a few people are interested, maybe we could put together a group buy for a discount? Anyone?
