Personally...i have a few Puma Ferrari T-shirts that I love!!! I think the Puma T-shirts are very well made, and not over the top!! enjoy wearing caps as well.
I agree with some other posters..The new stuff is a bit much I hardly ever wear Ferrari gear. If I do it is either the Ferrari Challenge Tommy Hilfiger jacket or sweater or the Ferrari F1 Tommy Hilfiger gear. All stuff from 1999 to 2002ish.
Thanks for the replies. I really think there is a nice bunch of level-headed, well rounded, non snobby owners here. It makes it easier for a non-owner like me to lurk and occasionally post. Getting back to my original question, are we thinking that this guy was or was not an owner? My contention is that if he were an owner, when I made a comment about the car, he should have told me how great it is to own/drive/show off or whatever he likes best about it. I know when I had my last Porsche Turbo, if someone who seemed intelligent about the brand wanted to engage me in coinversation, I was all for it.
I have a few caps, and a red polo I wear to F1 watching parties, but not a lot else. Too much of the stuff on the market is eurotrash-style, with many contrasting colors and stripes and other nonsense. To add insult to injury, a lot of the race stuff is orange now, instead of a true red. The horror! Still, maybe I should lighten up, and then I could be cool like these guys Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'd have to say "non owner", for reasons you cite.. I take people for short rides or even let them drive if they are hotties.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Go look in the Valentine's Day thread for a weekend recap, I have new numbers in my phone, from babes I vaguely remember! LOL! THEY loaded them as I was driving them around.......

Wear my red Kimi had in public sometimes and during GP's, and offcourse when i go to one. I don't have any red shirts anymore and don't think i'd buy one soon. A black one is more classy imo.
Most of the "team gear" look is ridiculous IMO. Used to be that you only saw this stuff at the track on guys who wanted you to know that they were connected to a team somehow - you know - the photographer wearing last year's team shirt or whatever. Now every poseur in the world wears the shiz and it looks stupid. Those guys in the shorts especially!
No offense, but is it a requirement for owners to dish on their rides when asked? I find the vast majority of Ferrari owners love to chat, but you mentioned you were in LA...not every owner is nerdtastic about the marquee and in Los Angeles you never really know (unless you can get them to talk) if their an owner or not. ...as to the apparel, many owners do...some don't and some will never mention here even if they did
We have a rule-of-thumb in our club (where's Birdman on this? His biggest Pet Peeve for-sure....). No more than ONE article of Ferrari crap is to ever be worn, at any time, or you're labeled an instant poser. Take the absolute DORK in post #30....where's the Ferrari tattoo and red wig? Maybe he could paint his face too???? It ranks right up there with the guys who shave their chest-hair and dip themselves in blue paint for a basketball game.....it wasn't THAT cool in High School......it ain't cool now. If you're 'in-costume' for Halloween or a charity event, that's fine. Tex, you're my hero - Good God, brutha, I hope you're getting 'action' at these events. But if you're head-to-toe Ferrari regalia, just out-n-about, you look like an absolute TOOL and we will all point and laugh at you. I won't buy anything affiliated with Puma - their stuff is CLOWN ugly. When Ferrari was sponsored by Nino Cerruti, they had some nice stuff going. Then came Tommy Pull-My-Finger, and it all went to hell......used to be, if you had a Ferrari racing team jersey, with sponsors patches, you got it because you knew someone on the team and paid them $500+ for one. Now, they make a million of them and you can pick one up at the Mall. Right beside the Hanna Montana backpacks. I collect Dealership shirts, which are usually sold 'under the counter' as most dealerships are not really allowed anymore to sell their own logo stuff. Back-in-the-day, that was all they had other than their factory-authorized crap by Nice Man. The Nice Man polos were so bad, the stitching threads would break and I'd literally have to sew the shirts back together again after I washed them.....
i've accumulated some of the stuff through the years, mostly as gifts. "what should we get dad for christmas, birthday, etc. i'm easy to buy for. some of it i never wear, some i do. my daughter gave me a pair of black puma driving shoes that i regularly wear; they're quite comfortable. got a turtleneck that's nice when i'm going out in the cold. it's all licensed stuff so the quality is good. but as with all things there is a time and place.
I love wearing casual Ferrari shirts, and I want to get more. Don't have a jacket or anything real fancy though.
I used to have a black t-shirt with the Ferrari script logo on it (left breast, embroidered in yellow, less than 1/2 inch high). Wish I could find another, it was nice and subtle. I wouldn't wear any of today's gear; a bit too loud for me.
