    I understand Chris E (55233 registered B 23 CBW) has more than one GTO? Erroneous information?

    Can anyone confirm the chassis number of the GTO plated 700 RPM?

    On the 20th of May 2007, lot # 224 the giallo 1984 288 GTO 47649 was sold by RM for 506,000 Eu, some $683,000 at the time (the estimate was 400 - 450k Eu).

    here is a pic of the speedo , definately a 288 GTO that gets used , not a garage queen at all , fair play to the owners for using it as it was intended .

    Am I correct in assuming that all GTO's came from the factory in the color red?

    I've seen pictures of a yellow one and black one, I am under the impression that these were painted afterwards they left the factory...

    My understanding is that they were all completed in red during production.

    All other colors were done post-production by Pininfarina and others...
