Little Giant 17' Ladder?

I would have to say, best thing since sliced bread. I have a *slight* fear of heights, so wobbly ladders scare me. LG is the safest ladder I've ever been on, very sturdy. I brought the 26 model, but that is because I need to reach the peak of the garage when installing my xmas lights. Using the 90 degree configuration on a sloping driveway gets me right up against the wall. I've also used it on a staircase to paint the wall. The 17 is probably better for most household chores, shorter & lighter.

Pricey, but if you use ladders, it's cheaper than one emergency room visit!!!

Due to the 26 weight (54lbs), I still use my 6' ladder for anything quick & dirty. But if painting or extended work I use the LG.

 

heavy but very flexible. Good to have around especially when you need to get to high places. I have the 24' version.

 

I have the Home Depot version and it is very well made and around a third of the price.

 

Little Giant are the best ladders ever. Werner has the same exact model that retails for about $219. I will not get on any other ladder other than these two. Period. That gorilla ladder from home depot sucks btw, piece of junk. Build quality is awful compared to either of the other two. The little giant has wheels built into them now so they are easy to move.

 

I have the Warner. Reallllllly heavy but very useful at times.

If a regular ladder will do I always pick one because of the weight, but occasionally, like painting stairways, this ladder is great.

 

The are high quality ladders, plus Hal is a nice guy and he used to have a yellow Carrera GT.

They are great ladders. I have used and purchased them for my company for many many years. They are a little heavy, but when you stand on them you fell stable. They are a quality product. I have two with me on the van everday.

One thing to keep in mind. LG ladders flex differently than your typical extension ladder once you are above the pivot point. Can be a bit disconcerting the first couple of times you climb the ladder.

Have you ever seen a Little Giant ladder? Not just some criss-crossed metal.

Was always trying to get from the supplier the Little Giant on either discount, on-line, or such but they were constantly out.

So, did search and on Amazon got Werner = Exact same specs. and less money
and
it comes witha an optional set of upper hinges in a case which the Giant doens't. We use 'little' giants for the stores and wouldn't have otherwise due to liability...durability etc.

Werner = better value for home or private bus.

Giant, recently added a set of wheels to bottom to easily move it as my [largest model could find] Werner is HEAVY, so much so I actually bought another lighter for smaller less high issues.

I don't think giant has the lock up on this patent to prevent others from duplicating similar for less money...and Werner is a quality mfgr.

Big fan of the LG. Inherited one, love it. Works well in a wide variety of situations.

Used both the little Giant and Werner back when I was installing cable modems and tv lines in college, both very nice ladders.
