Full of a couple hundred boxes of girlscout cookies (no, not you after a couple hundred boxes). I was shocked how much I could get in there. Keep thin mints away from the floor over the exhaust though.

Lee- I was really disappointed in that "comparison". It only had driving impressions and used their same old performance figures from earlier tests rather than actually running the cars under identical conditions and providing some real comparisons. Would never have happened in the old R&T. But then, I am a relatively new subscriber. Did not get my first R&T subscription until 1964. John Bond would not be happy.

Probably should send them an e-mail stating same.

It was an enjoyable read, but I wish they'd given more detailed testing as well as a verdict.

I haven't subscribed in a few years. Egan is good, the rest is a brochure. Manney, Walker, Salons, Gone.
Yep. Autoblog, few other spots. Automobile is pointless save for Kitman. C&D-Weith, Yates,... AW- Mandel Sr.
CAR even went fluff. Octane OK, but not enough for 15/issue.

The whole bunch of auto related monthlies have become clones of each other. Primarily because several are essentially under the same ownership and also because major announcements from the car manufacturers are given to all, with specific dates for publication. These periodicals are also facing a world where large advertisers are becoming scarce and they kowtow to the car makers, publishing their invented statistics in lieu of doing real testing, lest they offend the advertisers.
It's all quite depressing and scary to understand that the information that is published is subjective at best, but certainly unverified. No amount of footnotes or an asterisk denoting that the numbers are manufacturer provided, substitutes for real, objective testing, analysis and evaluation of any given car.
How are we as potential buyers meant to get realistic, comparable info anymore? It simply sucks and printed media like these monthly advertorials deserve to go out of business, the sooner the better.

A- Really disappointing after 45 years of subscribing to R&T. Got an offer the other day for subscriptions to both C&D and R&T (both owned by Petersen (Sp?)) for $14, $7 each. About what I paid for R&T in 1964. Sad. Back then they were not repeats of manufacturer press data.

Those photos of your Series 2 SA and the 575 SA were really beautiful. Of all the pure street cars, I think the 410 SAs had the best combination of classic and agressive good looks and performance. There was nothing that could touch them for pure beauty and outstanding performance. Unmatched in performance until the 365 GTB/4 appeared, and they were never matched for beauty, in my opinion.

Regarding the automobile magazines... for those of you who don't already read it, I believe that EVO is the best magazine out there. You can get them at Barnes and Noble. Nothing else comes close. :)

Thanks Terry - the 410SA series II is IMO one of the most beautiful cars ever conceived. It has balance and grace. I'll probably never own anything quite so perfect ever again.
