Redline movie Enzo

Back when the economy seemed okay, asking price for this car was $1.2MM. One point two million...!!!

Bill's review solidifies this car's rebirth as being enceinted in a sub-seven-figure price bracket. Of course, I'll gladly tattoo the seller's name on my forehead if he just handed the car over to me.

 

Enzos in general have the worst panel gaps I have ever seen on any supercar, in my opinion. Its hidden on the black cars, is noticeable on the red cars, and just awful on the yellow cars. Whats alarming is the disparity in shut-line gaps between the doors and the front hood (which is more), and the rear hood simply looks as if it is unlocked much of the time (even though it obviously isn't).

Regarding the Redline Movie Enzo: I think we may want to preface any comments with "in my opinion" since nobody making declarations has ever subjected the car to a professional inspection. Derogatory comments carelessly made on a public forum which have not been substantiated may cost the seller a loss in real terms, and who knows, he may decide that he has been wrongfully harmed by a specific party. I have zero affiliation with the owner.

Im sure you meant no harm at all, but as so often happens on public forums its easy to cause someone actual financial loss based on a few unsubstantiated words...

This is a non issue. The gaps develop as the cars are driven and things move about and can be easily adjusted/shimmed out.

In fact I remember seeing images of the brand new #129581 on the Pininfarina stand and the rear hood gaps were like this - uneven from side-to-side. I have images of 128781 from 2002 and its the same thing. Every single Enzo I have viewed is similar.

FMOC tried adjusting the hood of a particular car Im affiliated with and the issue you find is that an adjustment in one direction causes the other side to become worse. The issue with the rear hood is one of design and the rearmost lip (near the 'Ferrari' badge) has a much smaller gap tolerance than say the sides where the hood meets the wheel arches (the worst offending part).

This doesn't affect the performance or use of the car at all, but if you are the kind who appreciates evenly-finished coachwork on your sleek million-dollar Supercar, this is a real let-down.

It is not just the rear hood that is an issue. The front hood is often uneven from side-to-side, although this one can in fact be remedied. The front nose-cone/bumper is another issue with almost every one I have seen being uneven from side to side. Thats not as easy to adjust.

Here is 135872 (at new whilst still on its "EE" plates). You'd think the grey livery would help disguise the awful gaps much better than say yellow...
