Ah the ex-General Motors P400 lives! I can imagine John Z. DeLorean "testing it at night" in the summer of '68...

Could it be that the "Bible" title was my publisher's tongue-in-cheek response to my critics who say I have a tendency to "preach" the good word?

Thanks, Doug, feel the same way.
Even when there's no time to drive it, it's therapy just to walk into the garage and stare at it for a while...

    Cheers,
    Alex

Im sorry, but I just hate the SVJ body modifications. It is impossible to improve upon the original car. Although I would trade the curvy rear end for the eyelashes, but I miss those eyelashes

    Ferry:

Your question is hard to understand.

I assume you are speaking of the book? If so, I didn't feature a photo of each P400, P400S or P400SV, so why should the SV Jotas be any different? 762 Miuras were built and the goal was never to include a picture of each one - an impossible task anyway.

Having said that, I did feature 6 images of 4860 (the ex-Hubert Hahne SV Jota) and 2 images of 4934 (the ex-Shah of Iran SV Jota) in the chapter entitled "Modificato - Modified by the works: super Miuras", enough I thought for my purpose of elaborating upon these cars.

By the way, I do posses images of all the SV Jotas that I suggest as cars modified by the works DURING the Miura's production period.

As my book clearly states, it does not deal with any of the cars modified after Miura production ended, nor does it deal with cars modified by privateers. Perhaps someone else is willing to cover those cars...

    Best,
    Joe

    You are not alone.

There are two schools of sentiment on this:

There are those who absolutely love the Miura SV Jotas, considering them to be rare and special, the ultimate Miura so to speak.

Then there are are those who absolutely despise them as being the fornication of seminal works of art, pure automotive vandalism.

Follow your heart and choose sides accordingly :)

Well Joe, I don't see what is hard to understand as yes it's related to your book new reference.
As we know already that you have in hands these SV-J period factory built pictures...and because you listed with accuracy the VIN cars from page 146-147, it would have been interesting in addition to your explanations to have a pic for each SV-J...

If you believed that "it was enough for your purposes of elaborating upon these cars" it's your choice, and that's my comment as a regret/missing...
