California Colour Combos- ets hear your thoughts

Am interested to hear personal preferences on the choice of interior colours for the Cali, seen a 1:12 model version of the Cali and that has Sabbia and perhaps isnt that suited to a Rossa Corsa exterior, have seen pics of a California Blue car with Crema and that looks pretty good.

Friend is ordering a Cali and we need to spec the car from a colour point of view, huge problem is choosing an exterior colour and finding an interior colour to suit. The only exterior and interior colour that has been ruled out is black, because its far too difficult to keep clean for a daily and the black interior would get very hot with the roof down?

Any thoughts?

Red ( Corsa) exterior with Beige(tan) interior works better than Sabbia IMO. I like the star wheels, daytona seats, black dash and steering wheel, and matching beige armrest central tunnel and headliner.

Grigio titanio with Beige.

Silver with beige.

If you are brave, fly yellow with charcoal interior or beige.

Here's what I was thinking: Dark red (Vinaccia) exterior, bordeaux piping and stitching with rossa scuderia red calipers and charcoal dash, steering wheel, carpets and daytona accents. Yellow tach and shields.

What about yellow calipers? Too much contrast?

 

Am looking at Mirabau blue......with yellow calipers. Am not a fan of the screen in the center console it really ruins the interior in my opinion and no amout of colour coding makes the screen less obvious.

 

i like the darker colours

but if the atelier deptment is open to options... i still would like the 09 rendition of the 250's stripe.

The stripe is gorgeous! I would have mine the same exact way, or black/tan.

 

My ideal California would be:

Black/Black
Yellow stitching & calipers
Ball-polished Challenge(Monolithic)rims

The California has potential..

I thought about the 250 red stripe too but only if I could get the Factory to do it. I've never bought a black car in my life so that scares me too (too much cleaning all the time, swirls, etc).

Still, it looks great!

 

Not diggin the black on this car..the blue is perfect

 

I like the red stripe.

 

The only thing I miss in this combo is a light bar on the nose like KITT in Knight Rider

 

i saw the white-with-red-stripe Scud in another thread... thought it looked really sharp.
had to give it a try...

Looks good, Grant...! I don't suppose you'd be open to a Photoshop suggestion. I'd like to see a blue/white stripe combination on the California. Blu Abu Dhabi with a Bianco Fuji (pearlescent white) stripe.

I "built" one in blue scozia with bordeaux interior that I think looks great...for a California. unfortunately I have no clue how to get the image cut and pasted here...

 

Print Screen, paste into Paint and save. C'mon Chas!
