#11 Marketed to blind people #12 should have bought a Cadillac it would have depreciated less #13 So what if its a girlyman car, let my freak flag fly!
Wrong: that's number 2, number 8, and number 4. Jeez this is so easy! Look guys -- I've made this chart so you can cut down on your wasted keystrokes. Just pick the number that upsets you, post it, and then move on. It's all been said. This pitiful thread has become the same whining over and over (actually, that's number 1) now. So, pick a number and move on. See! It's EASY!
"this really sucks!" But it's all 100% legal, according to their disclaimer: http://www.supereplicas.com/disclaimer.htm I highly recommend the disclaimer as perhaps the finest distillation of intellectual property law I've ever encountered - and a nice break from discussing the California. Here's a teaser, the third sentence: "Since the powerful US Declaration of Independence statement “that all men are created equal;” for the first time in the history of mankind we have been set free from the tyrannical red tape “of the world is flat” (bogus rules) so we can “ALL” enjoy the equal privilege and rights for the development of our personal pursuit of excellence and happiness."

Amazing, all the Ferrari replicas based on MR2s. At some point, we're going to need MR2 replicas based on used-up 360s.
Well, this is pure crap. The Constitution does not give, even by implication, any such "right" to own whatever one wants, even if he can't afford it. What an appalling disregard for the time, engineering, and creativity that went into developing the original. These people are so irrational and deluded (as well as unbelievably ignorant of both the Constitution and the most fundamental tenets of intellectual property law) that I wonder if the entire website is not a giant hoax. If there's any truth at all to their claim that they do produce what they claim to produce, I'm sure they won't last a year once Ferrari's lawyers get them into court.
"Well, this is pure crap." Definitely, but I find myself admiring its extended, emphatic incoherence.
You guys didn't read the whole thing. Those guys will make you a tube frame chassis to go with your california lookalike. Put a real Ferrari engine in it, (they advertise BMW V12s), and that sounds like a lot of fun. Can you say "California Superleggera"? Plus, if they'll do that, I don't doubt that you can edit the looks to your taste. That is what I have really, really always wanted: a lightweight tubeframe 250 GTO lookalike with a California driveline, but never thought I'd be able to afford. Now I just have to wait for some Bev. Hills type you are all so uppity about to wreck their Cali, and it's on! Now complain about it's looks... Image Unavailable, Please Login
The only problem will be finding a wrecked *Manual Transmission Cali* That is likely to take a while...
No, that's not the "only problem." Personally, I think the website is completely bogus. They don't show a single completed car, just stock photos of what a car "could" look like. I think they're just having fun with the internet, making wild, ridiculous claims about a fantastically unlikely ability to build anything.
I know. But it's fun to dream, no? Hey even if they are totally bogus, who knows? Somebody might get inspired to outdo them! (By actually building something. )
Wonder how much Ferrari paid him to say that looks like damage control by them to me, didn't need for him to make a spot for any other past models funny
I guess Ferrari thinks that M Schumacher is someone who can contribute to the development of their road cars. Also he has become an important spokesperson for Ferrari road cars, doing promotion for the F430, Scud, 599, and now the Calfornia. In one nice video Ferrari made, he gave rides to F430 owners at Fiorano.
Saw a black Cali in the flesh. In person, I admit, it was pretty cool. The pictures do not do it justice.
wonder what Jim/Napolis would say as they state the Ferrari P4/5 is open territory. Not to mention this joke: http://www.supereplicas.com/newsflash.htm protégé ??? lol, did that guy actually pay good money to create a web site? Guessing another reason to take back Panama
I sent them legal notice telling them how I felt and they responded by saying I should help Mexicans because I probably had some gardening for me. True.
I am starting to think that guaranteeing that one is not part of the Anti-Cali crowd is all by itself a good enough of a reason to get one.
