Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, we are doing this again. The first event was a huge success. On a Sunday in February when the temps hovered around freezing there were 75+ cars. For this event Sam Lurie from The Beantown Sound and myself have graciously been given permission to use the parking lot at Trade Center 128 in Woburn. This is a new building and very clean, plenty of parking and the on site Dunkin Donuts will open for us. ***Important Things To Remember*** Please be mindful of the surroundings. Place all trash in trash bags, or take it with you when you leave. The Tradecenter has been kind enough to give us the oppurtunity to use there parking lot. This is a great oppurtunity for us so be on your best behaviour! This means absolutely NO DONUTS, NO BURNOUTS!!! If you see someone acting up, tell them to stop. Tradecenter is open to allowing regular meets to happen on the property, as long as they feel we are responsible enough Please try and spread the word. The more the merrier! We don't know your friends, your next door neighbours, your co-workers; Reach out to them, invite them, and we can all gather and share in our passion. This event will be advertised in the area and at the office park. The event is RAIN OR SHINE. There is a 5 story parking garage with ample space for hundreds of cars. In the event of rain or snow, we will be meeting inside the garage. Time: 9:30AM-11:30AM Location: Trade Center 128 (Woburn, Massachusetts) Directions: http://www.tradecenter128.com/directions.htm Available Food: Dunkin' Donuts On Location This is across the high way from the Woburn Movie Theatre off exit 35 on 128. I made it to the 2/15 meet in Burlington and hope to make this one as well - I checked the distribution list from Allen's email and he has most of the guys I know on that list, so they all got an email invite.
I'm currently without a Ferrari, but would love to meet some of you guys and talk about the shared predilection for European exotica
I think we the freakish weather we've been having that there are still people not ready so they're just bringing beaters or dailys. Nobody is going to take it personal.
i might unwrap the 999 for her inaugural 2009 run. 50/50 probability. we'll see! will it be too cold? will she start? damn it was cold this morning though when i got up - still in the 20s. if it's like that tomorrow, don't hold your breath for me ;-) doody.
Uh see that previous 95 cars number? um yeah tripple it and that is somewhere around the number we are going to have tomorrow... hehe Lots of beautiful cars coming... someone is going to take out there Lotus 7 for us to drool on, lol
have a fun time, guys! post pics! i did finally get her started yesterday, but it's way too damn cold to do that many miles on the 999 this morning. doody!
There are allot, and I mean allot, of pictures floating around from the event. I wouldn't be surprised if the event made 400 cars. Absolutely awesome turnout. As for F cars, we had intheflesh, F355, 2 F430s, Ferrari of New England made an appearance, a '76 or '67 (can't remember) which ended up going out on a flatbed due to spark issues, and a couple of others hiding around, like one F355 I believe hiding in the back. Maserati Quatraporte made a showing and all we had on the Lambo side was a Countach 5000. Here is a birds eye view of the event. http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/2209/atfgillham03152009.jpg
I believe that was a 67 365 gt 2+2. I ran into the owner of that 'hidden' 355, although I didn't see the car. Great turn out, can't wait for the next one
