I'd be shocked if more than 5% of people reply Mondial

It always depend on what you need. Some will find a two seater with minimalist storage place attractive while some other won't concede a 2+2 option ...

Some may simply prefer the look of a Mondial Coupé over a 348 ...

I suspect that more than 5% of people could be interested to buy the four seater over the other.

Consider me in the 5%. Faced with the same choice, I chose Mondial. Would do it again all day long. I like having a Ferrari I can share with my family.

Ferrari did not build 95 348 for each set of 5 Mondial T!!!

Both are nice cars but IMHO a Mondial is something more exclusive and original ... There is not so many 2+2 rear midengined sportscars in this world ...

I know it isn't the question you asked but I would go for a 328GTB rather than both of those.

I've driven a mondial and didn't like the car. I bought a 348 spider and love it! Very different cars, you should drive both to see which one you like.

Most folks haven't driven a Mondial t. Big difference from the early cars.

If you want to look at it, buy a 348. If you want to use it, buy the t.

I've driven dozens of 348's and I'd take my t Coupe over all of them... Especially on the track!

I have a Mondial 3.2 Cab, so I really don't have a horse in this race, but, from what I have read, the Mondial T coupe is a superior track car to the 348, as the 3.2 coupe was to the 328. Apparently, the longer wheelbase makes for a more stable/predictable platform.

The 348, however, is a hell of a car, and if you aren't intending on tracking the car or driving like an idiot on public roads, it really becomes a question of taste. Both are excellent cars so just pick the one that suits your lifestyle and expectations best. Its not like you can make the wrong choice...they're both FERRARIS!!!

As you would expect people will be voting along the party lines. Since I just purchased a 348, the 348 gets my vote. Heck I would even choose a 328 over a T... But I also choose a 348 over a 328..
Sports car = 2 seats... Not knocking the T, but it is not a sports car. On the track my Jeep srt8 will keep up with the T or the 348 while the kids are watching videos in the back seat and it does not have the Ferrari tax

I think you know what I might say as I own a 90 348ts. However I did have the choice two years ago and I am glad I went with the 348. Practicality never played any rolls in my decisions for an F-car. I have an E55 Mercedes that has four doors and an Lexus SUV for the winter. I don't need back seats in my Ferrari.

I have recently bought a 360, and sometimes wonder if I may end up regretting the sale of my 348. I love an open roof car, and the 360's a coupe.

For my case, the Mondial fit more checkmarks on the list....would I want a two seater: looking as I type, but it would be, at this time, an addition, not a replacement.

Of course, by that definition, neither is a Porsche 911, Nissan GTR, BMW M3, Mitsu EVO, etc. and I don't think a Ford Thunderbird or Plymouth Prowler are sports cars, regardless of the seating configuration.

Personally, I don't care what the heck my Mondial is, as long as its mine. But, Four seats or two seats does not make the difference in my book. Its the cars set up, ie Gran Turismo vs. sports car. My Mondial can hold its own on the back roads, as many of the C&C guys have commented on with some surprise, but it it definitely set up as a GT--hard to argue otherwise when it has no roof... but the coupes are a different breed altogether.

    Just my .02.

Semantics aside though, all Ferraris are real Ferraris. A guy with a F50 has no more of a Ferrari than the guy with the 400i. To each his own.

I'd much rather have my 348... I think it looks better and performs better than even the Mondial T, and is closer to a true sports car IMO than the Mondial or even 2000-2009 Ferraris.

However, I think it's pretty incredible that a 4-seater with very good performance and fun factor is available for someone needing the extra seats. Especially the Mondial T, which must have over 90% of the performance of a 348. So these 2 models are kind of like apples and oranges. It does depend on a person's needs, IMO, so I can understand some (more than 5%) preferring a Mondial.

The mondial was built to be a daily driver and a t coupe would make for an exceptional commuter car, even today.
The 348 is more of a weekend cruiser with it's relatively rough ride and need to really strong-arm the steering at slower speeds.

I'd say for daily use or if you'll be cruising with little kids, take the mondial.
For all other purposes get the 348 - and if you can swing it, get the spyder!

I think it depends on usage, for everyday the Mondial and for weekends the 348 but if it were me I would take the 348, much sportier feeling car than the Mondial.

But I'd take a 308/328 GTS over either. I don't mind four seats in a daily driver, but for me the Ferrari experience has always meant two seats and an open top.

    Both...

I like the versatility of the 't' (not to mention driving manners)

I like the aggressive look of the 348

thanks, that's exactly what the T and the 456 were for us.....

however, I do know of some two seaters used for commuting, which probably translates for a single person as a daily driver as they buy groceries in it too, the T/456 has the true room to even carry several potted plants home or a few bags of soil...never thought to take pics of that, but has been done by me....
