Not quite true - Paul Vestey and I look after The GP Library Collection which includes the Geoffrey Goddard archive, also Franco Lini's, and Zooom Photographic, plus work from Nigel Snowdon, Jabby Crombac, Ted Eves, Branger etc. The Collection runs overall to some 1.8-1.9-million images, ranging in date from 1902-2002. Of course there are literally thousands of Ferrari and Ferrari-related images included within it all.

By the way, it's nice to hear some of the things people say about 'Ferrari in Camera'. It is a great memorial to our late great friend, old Irascible of Camberley himself - Geoff Goddard...

Apologies Doug, I was unnecessarily brief in attributing copyright to yourself as I did of course know better. I look forward to seeing some photos from the GP library in the book.

    Cheers

Whenever one "Ferrari in Camera" book is for sale on Ebay, he makes more than £700. Never saw one less than this price.

it really is the creme de la creme of Ferrari books.
Palawan still has 30 leatherbound editions left. They used to have a "Ferrari" edition with Rossa Corsa painted aluminum covers. Would love to see that.

    an excellent book Doug.

    Someday... someday... :)

Very nice to see some well-known writers here... Here is a picture of a part of my small collection. Some contributors here must recognize some of their work...

I have paid less than 600Pounds for my copy of "Ferrari in camera". Be patience , it wil certainly come up for a reasonable amount of money, although it will never be a bargain...

    Very nice collection...
    Inquiries:
1.On a scale of 1-10 how do you rate that recent 2-volume set from Ferrari. (the silver covers with the red 1 & 2). Ferrari is notorious for reprinting the same info with updated pages. Is it all new or did they take their 1947/1997 book and expand it?
    2. What is that light red duotone-photo-covered book to the left of Ferrari by Pininfarina? dont recognize that one.

ps Ferrari in Camera AND Emotion Ferrari... as Higgins would say.. Oh... My.... God.

    Hi,

Thx, yes... I'm very lucky to have a copy of "Ferrari in camera". This is still one of those books i can take after a long , hard week of work and just dream away...

#1. I would rate it an "8". It is completely different comparing to the "50 years" book but i had expected more of it. Still , i consider it a must have. It is a very nice book with a lot of nice pictures and loads of information. Also , of course it is an official Ferrari-publication.

#2 This is a book which is published by the oldest Ferrari club in the world; the "Gruppo Sportivo Ferraristi Rezzato" I will put a picture of it with this post...

    For the Gilles Villeneuve fans...

For a long time a well known Dutch team used to race in TGP with the ex-312T. This team has published 2 very nice books which are never sold. This was a personal gift for people close to this team. Particularly the red edition covers the 2005-season when JB was winning the TGP world-championship.

    Greetings from the Netherlands,

    Maarten

Does anyone have Nick Mason's "Into the red"?
Amazon has two different covers available,I
know the one with the McLaren on the cover is
the original but the other one seems to be the same.
In an interview he did say he'd be re-releasing it
with added cars.Unless it was just an extra printing
    with a different cover.

It will be very , very hard to get a copy of this book. Like the picture shows this book was given to friends of this team and was never offered for sale. Sometimes they do show up for sale on the Dutch "marktplaats" website ( "marketplace" ) but this would be a very rare opportunity to acquire one...

Thanks anyway. I would love to have one; but it sadly seems unlikely.

Hey!! Never give up! That's the beauty of collecting... ;) I'm still searching for the Barron-Connor magazines myself so perhaps i run in to some one day.
Check www.marktplaats.nl sometimes and enter "Barron" under "zoeken".

Unfortunately Barron isn't active anymore so most collectors owning these book hold on to it.

The one with the Mclaren on the cover is the 2nd edition. The 3rd edition is in the making. I have both the 1st and 2nd......

This book is highly recommended. It has many great period pictures in it. You will love it!

@Nathan , please note collectors-carbooks website is temporarily off-line. Must be back on-line end of this week...
