Hello everyone. We recently picked up this 911 mainly as a DD and particularly for winter driving in northern Italy (hence the AWD). Obviously this doesn't affect our plans to go "599/Ferrari hunting" again this summer. Great car. I'll post some more detailed impressions/more pics later. i see you went with the adaptives and pse.....good choice. i love the terracotta interior. my turbo is slate grey/ terracotta.
Thanks guys Yes...the ASS (adaptive sport seats ) are great...and the PSE sounds awesome We might install a dedicated PSE button which separates the PSE from the Sport button...so that to be able to have the PSE "on" without the harsh ride which comes with the sport mode (which isn't optimal for most roads around here). The terracotta interior also looks phenomenal with GT Silver. The car really puts a smile on your face every time you see it. I love the car. It's beautiful, it's fast, it's easy, it sounds great and it's fun. We drove it 1500km (+/- 900 miles) in two days and it exceeded expectations from all points of view. The 911 truly is a classic P.S. Do you guys recommend any particular Porsche forum/community? I used to lurk around RennTeam quite often and it's a really nice community. However, IMHO, they killed it with the new user interface. It's unbearable. I think it's a real shame. I'm guessing RennList is the obvious choice now?
Lots of goodies like the sport chronos, optional steering wheel and even optional (stainless steel?) exhaust. Great looking wheels to. 6spd manual, right? Even the electric clutch 4wd is new. Special looking car in that color. How much a litre for fuel? Ours is 86 cents. Nice to see no snow... CH
Like the color and everything else. Does it have the PDK trans? Do you have anything agains the Cabriolet? And most important, how does it RUN man?
Thank you for the kind words everyone About 1.2 Euros per liter. A bit more for 100 octane fuel. Fuel prices have gone down significantly in the past few months. I suppose that's one of the few positive notes of the current economic situation... Don't worry...there's plenty of that too (even though the worst is gone). hmm...from the top of my head: -GT Silver (special paint) -Terracotta interior -adaptive sport seats -full leather interior -full electric seats -rain sensors etc. -Porsche Sport Exhaust -heated seats -multi-functional steering wheel -parking sensors -sport chrono package -sunroof -phone -sport design rims -PCM navigation unit etc. -CD charger ...and probably a couple of other things I forgot to mention. It's a 997.1...so it has the tip. No..but being a DD we preferred a coup. Awesome Fast, comfortable, tons of grip, very communicative, sounds great...and most importantly: fun! The plates should be here tomorrow. Cant wait
Definitely like the interior color. My brother's is silver/black -- I think yours pops a bit more. Maybe get a convertible Ferrari now that you've got a sports coupe?
Awesome! I just picked up an 03 Boxster S, with the intention in about 3 years to sell and get the 05 C4S. You have my favorite look with the wide body. Enjoy!
how do these beauties drive in the snow anyway? Are they as solid as a Subaru? Beautiful car, congratz!
Yes...even though I have seen a few cars only with a small version of their front plates as stickers. I have also seen a couple of cars with no front plates but I'd be quite curious to know what the police would say...
Just picked up mine this past week! I went with the 6 speed, love the PSE and the turbo wheels! And pic of my other car. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice duo. Congrats! Our car has been sleeping in the garage without plates for two weeks now. We have had a couple of minor problems with the registration process in Monaco If all goes well we should have the plates next week
