First time F car enthusiast (previous P car owner) looking at purchasing a 1995 F355. Any recommendations for shops that do great work specifically on F cars? FoW sounds like a dud. Thanks.

Yes, Competizione and Sports Cars in Gaithersburg MD. Richard and Fernando are two of the best in the business period and have a wonderful shop. They are also sponsors here on Fchat.

They are the only ones I trust with my 360.

    Cheny -

Would you trust your F-car to be serviced by one of 30 people in the U.S. factory-certified to service the Ferrari Enzo? They are very friendly, too.

This place is about 45 minutes from you ----> http://www.competizioneracing.com/

Many FCA members trust this place 100%, and they are a sponsor of F-Chat

Everyone who lives in the area and loves Italian cars should visit Competizione.

Specializing in Ferrari, C&SC also sees Alfa, Fiat, Lamborghini, Abarth, and on and on. A beautiful shop filled with beautiful cars, run by honest people who care deeply about the quality of their work.

As for FoW, if you have any interest in contacting them, I recommend you call the head of service, Glenn Marquis (or perhaps the new principal, Bill Story), directly. FoW is changing/has changed ownership, has had major personnel changes, and Glenn can tell you what's up with their shop.

If you ever have to leave your car at Competizione, when its ready they will pick you up from the metro. Just another way that they take great care of their customers.

Count yourself fortunate and blessed. There are several people on FCHAT who had problems w/FoW service, or paid for services not rendered, poor quality of work and repairs. You can search the threads or some might PM you.

On a more positive note, I can attest to great service, quality, price, integrity at Competitizione. No need to beat a dead horse here (pun intended). FoW is under new management.

It is time to move on and not reopen old wounds w/MOB/FoW.

This has turned into another love-fest thread for Richard and Fernando at Competizione.
And, I'll admit, they deserve the great reputation they enjoy.
They run a great shop which is located near the Gaithersburg Airport in Maryland and their website is:

However, I just had my 430 serviced at FOW last week and am here to report that everything went well.
It is the first time I've had service done under the new ownership's control and the car runs great.
I had the 2-year service done. I think that is the same as the "10k service".
Good news, the final price was the same as the price quoted by Glenn when I dropped it off.
The car was ready on the day they said it would be and the car was clean and shiny when I picked it up.
They also did the 430 exhaust bracket factory campaign (like most campaigns, for free) while it was in there.

So, I appreciate both shops being in business and, depending on what I needed done, would recommend either one.
