I may go in for a set but I am still a few weeks away from pulling the trigger. I am still sweeping up too many loose projects to add another thing.

    "We"?
And the price is rather absurd for an ugly panel with two shiny rods.;)

Still waiting on some feedback to some questions posted earlier. Material and how they attach would be good to know.

I think that the folks who want to change the diffuser want to make the car look prettier and not necessarily go any faster.

I agree with your point about the fact that the aero team decided that the current design worked best for the 360 otherwise they could have added the fins.

Recently, I had my 360 in for an oil change and while the car was up on the rack the mechanic and I were talking about the car. The diffuser fins came up as we were talking about the differences between the F430 and 360. He advised me not to add fins because it reduces the Aero efficiency which he contends is noticeble when approaching top speeds. He does a lot of tracking.

    Hi Guys.

Here's where we are at as of today.

I now have 5 deposits for the diffusers. I refunded one deposit to a user. Additionally I am working with someone who will be making them for me. After the holidays we are going to run a few sets out of the old mold to see how much work to each will be required.

I was going to build a new mold but with only the 5 confirmed deposits that won't happen.

The 5 people that are in right now will be the first to get them.

If I decide to make any more AND the mold holds up I'll do so. Otherwise that's it. If we do a few extra I'll post it here and let everyone know.

So as of now, if your in, your in.

    Merry Xmas

    Craig,

Just so you all know I checked with a local company to see how much it would cost to make the mold, they quoted me $10k! So Craig is really doing us a favor!

Thank you again Craig! I do believe that if you tossed a couple on ebay they would move.

What material are the finished parts made from? This still hasn't been answered. That price seems very high for these parts. They're most likely made one at a time and not four per mold.

Here is the response I recieved. (sorry the mold cost was $11k) Material is ABS black plastic.

    B

    Good Afternoon Bora,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Initial cost would be for a mold which based on the pictures you supplied would be $11,000.

Based on running 200 pcs the part cost would be roughly $4.50 - $5.00 each. $250 is figured into the cost for setup which if you order 250 pcs comes to $1.00 per part. If you order more the per piece setup cost changes accordingly; 500 pcs would be $.50 per part in setup costs.

Thank you for the opportunity to quote and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me anytime.

Good research and sounds right. But I doubt these part are being made that way. Good chance the current mold is made from fiberglass. I may be able to produce these if the molds are available.

Bora is right as to the mold cost, close. 12-13K.

Production parts though are higher as he may be shooting you in the foot. 20-30 usd each is about right.

We have made the parts required for those who paid the deposts (5) and are shipping now. Monday two more will go out.

I hope that everyone enjoys the looks........

After you mount them, please post your pictures for everyone to see :)

I would be willing to invest in a fixed mold if there was enough interest. Please PM me and let me know a tally.

    Take care, Craig

    Hi Craig,

I thought you were looking for a minimum of 10 orders, hence why I requested my deposit back sometime ago. I'm still up for a set, I thought you would let me know if you decided to go ahead with them.
