I love the F50, it sparked my interest in cars when I played it in Need for Speed when I was young. Since then, I have become a dedicated Tifosi.

It was definitely a learning experience from a composites viewpoint, lesson learned being CF doesn't absorb as well as it transmits vibration.

    I was waiting for this.

The F50 was the first 'super' Ferrari I saw, and is still my favourite.

Growing up in the 90's with cars like this, the F1, EB110, XJ220, Diablo and so on helped me love cars, especially supercars, especially Ferrari's.

The F40 has nothing on it in my honest opinion.

Wow, thanks for the interest everyone!

Ive been studying all aspects of the variant lately, and it is one of those cars that grows on you... especially if it has been freed with open pipes from the headers backwards.

Less than 400 made but more than the originally suggested 349?

With only about 50 in the United States, they've got to be pulling close to Enzo dollars ... yes/no?

I hope to be able to drive one one day, or at least ride in one.

My comment was more of a reference to how the motor is attached to the tub, it is very direct and even prior to riding in one I heard you feel everything and sure enough you do! On an Enzo the motor is attached via rubber mounts to an aluminum sub frame which is attached to the tub giving a much more muted ride in terms of engine vibration.

Depends on what you prefer I suppose... It's my nature to look at everything from a composites point of view, probably some sort of illness :)

You know they say you should never marry a woman for her looks alone!

Something tells me you might possibly change your mind?

I am just fascinated by this car, even though I've never seen one in person. Hope I get the opportunity. I think I'd give my left thumb (I'm right handed) for a ride in one. There was that video that was floating around for awhile (F40 and F50 at Reims(?)). Damn, did the F50 sound wicked. One bad AZZ car for sure.
