A few years back , My lovely wife and I flew to Sienna to visit my uncle. We started talking about my "Love" for Ferrari's and he had an AMAZING story for me.

In the early 40's my uncle was living with a girlfriend whom lived in Maranello, a few paces from the Ferrari Factory. One day he noticed some repair work being done on a damaged brick facade within the factory gates. Believing that he stumbled upon some re-useable material for free, he proceeded to offer to haul away the rubbish for free. To some this seems idiotic but to a poor Persian living in Italy, a start is a start! As the story goes, the brick was kept alongside his girlfriends house... Fast forwarding a few years led to marriage and their first child. They rented the house and moved to Sienna. The house stayed in the family of my aunt, and until recently have they decided to sell. We visited them at their place in Maranello as they were there cleaning and grabbing personal effects. The story of these bricks came up as I was helping my uncle repair a gate. He pointed at these bricks that were so neatly stacked and proceeded to tell me that these exact bricks came from the Ferrari Factory down the road many years ago. He laughingly said I could have them if I hauled them off... How Ironic is that!!!! So I did!! I was only able to grab around 2o bricks (Paying exorbent extra baggage fees!!!) believing that I would put them in my garage for some application. Unfortunately they found their way outside in a neat pile. I recently had the inspiration to create something amazing with these storied bricks. Here they are!!!!!!

I'm curious how you made these - very unique cutout that is obviously quite
repeatable... I know - asking an artist his secret!!

Looks like the work of an "abrasive waterjet" machine to cut out the shape. Very cool if they are the original bricks.

Lawrence is a moderator, and a very knowledgeable Ferrari historian. I'm certain his reason for editing everyone's posts was warranted; though I, too, am curious.

Amazing. Just put a layer of tainted varnish on the horse, then put it back in the brick and the result would be very nice.

This same ad is being posted in the 360/430 section... not sure what the deal is.
Offered $200 SHIPPED and was turned down. No COA, no photo of the 'brick pile'
in Italy... a used brick is a $2 item in Seattle. Sorry - but had to pass. See
the 360/430 section for more on this.

May others be so lucky as to get their own 'Ferrari brick' for a mere $250...

I think if I look hard enough maybe I can find the receipt for my extra charge airline baggage fee....LOL
If you read the story you would realize at the time I was not looking to turn this in to a full on business...so sorry for not having all the paper work for ya!Or maybe i can find some finger prints on the bricks that belonged to a brick layer back in the day and then do a search for all the brick layers in Italy. Then find all their info, get in contact and have them send you a personal letter... certified of course.

FYI....I can get used bricks here for $1.75...just letting you know so you can save $0.25....You will just have to pay me for shipping.

If you're legit, there's no need to get snotty. If you really want to sell these discards for US$250 ea., I think a little more decorum at your end would more apropos!

Dude, I think you blew it! Keep your bricks; with your attitude,I'd be surprised if anyone would want to deal with you!
You appear to be quite aloof and condescending.

    Good Luck!

Kinda got to agree with the others here. Nice story, but unauthenticated == presumed fake in sports memorabilia, which in a way that's exactly what these are
