Impressive difference in the photos, thanks for the suggestion. I have been keeping my photos intentionally small so they would not be copied until I published my book. You wanna be part of it??

Got to storage today. Found the box with more racing slides. Actually I could see the box withe the slides. It was about 8 feet, maybe 30 boxes in, about 3 hours digging.

    Ron,
I would be happy to do some reductions if you wish. PM me, give me your e-mail address and I will give you mine. You could then send me the high res pics and I could send the reductions back to you. We could put a copyright notice on the reductions. I could sign a confidential agreement.

There must be some thread to beat the Mosley, now anti-climatic threads.

Glad to see this thread come up from the basement. I found more photos, just have not had the time to have the slides converted to digital, hopefully November.

BTW: You were onto something with this thread: RACER magazine had a foto spread with 70s only pictures. Reminded me of your lovely thread. Their reason was that some fotographer just published a book with nothing but 70s racing pics.

Still interested, so still want to talk to you about this. Life got a bit anxious lately, so hopefully around first of the year.

I'm ready when you are. No worries, no rush.

As a direct outcome of this thread I started to make foto books for each of the years that I attended GPs. Came out really nice and is now a cherished treasure in my F1 collection.

This is the best thread in the racing section, a nice break from the usual Massa v. Hammy, Shumey v. Senna, etc. bantor.

    +1

This is where Ron and I can hug each other. Before we beat the crap out of each other in the "Massa sucks" thread. :)

Except for Massa, we often/mostly agree with each other. Ron is a super cool guy btw.

Wow, thanks for reviving this thread! I'm relatively new to FChat and I'm loving these pictures. I wasn't born until '80, but really enjoy the different look and atmosphere on the tracks from this era. I know it's a little older, but I'm really wanting to go home and watch Grand Prix now. :)

Now he's crispy Ron. The only one to ever burn up on F-Chat. How's it today my friend? Hope all is well Ron!

Michael, I am doing fine, I am currently in Chihuahua, Mexico with my extrodinarily wonderful chiquita. I return Nov 3. Yes, there are many chihuahua dogs in this town. I am not sure they really are dogs though, I think they may be large rats.

No Ferraris in this town, but a lot of Fiats and Eclipes with Ferrari shields. Many Ferrari shirts, saw a little girl with Ferrari sneakers. I found an incredible 1/7 scale Ferrari licensed F248 r/c car at the local Sears. It appears sears is the Ferrari model store of choice. Also a 1/7 scale Renault F1. They sell Renaults in Mexico, so Alonso is a favorite.

The Ferrari has great detail for an r/c, even Schumachers´s helmet looks correct. I will remove the antenna, and use it as a display model next to my 1/7 F430GT.

I should have known that Andreas would make a reference to a porn actor, I had to Google Ron Jeremy to find out who he was. Something about the music in porn that gives me a headache, so I never watched much.

¨I had to Google Ron Jeremy to find out who he was.¨ Something about that sentence I just used just seems very wrong.

You had to google the hedgehog? And we're supposed to believe this? C'mon! :)

Ron was my hero when I was a teen and nothing has changed since: The man looks worse than Ecclestone but got more women in his life than all FChatters with their Ferraris combined. :)

There is a movie about his life. Not very glamorous, but funny and insightful.

Ran across a few references to Lotus personnel recently, nicknames were required back in the day!

Biggles, Winkle, Scratch, Chiefy, Coughdrop, Tugger, Standby, Trev the Tooth, Blind PEW, Twitch, Tweak and Odd Bob.

    Colourful days indeed!
