I haven't visited yet, but on one segment of the Leggende e Passione (R&M Auctions) special on Speed, Alain de Cadenet was touring the factory and walked down an aisle of files where apparently they have the files for every Ferrari ever built.

Not sure whether they would retrieve them for you.

The only record available for free is the pre-1980 color certificate via the Owners site (lots of threads about it here)

They may have all the other build records but whether you are at the factory or not they are not readily available

Ferrari had detailed build sheets, but they were discontinued about the middle of Daytona production(ca 1972-2)

They were available free for the asking for many years but now they charge for them.

They cover mechanical info only, with occasional notes on special features. Most of the time the dyno section is blank or says "normale".

The Most details I have seen re bodywork is along the lines of "Scagletti Berlineta".

I have or have had the sheets for most of my past and present early cars. Some they said they could not find.

Some I have seen have obvious errors, such as non existent carb types

Classiche has them all now. Every blank filled in and every car accounted for. You see they hired the Chinese womans gymnast Olympic team document expert. It's all in order now.

Some of those Chinese women gymnasts still have some questionable genetic codes and dates of manufacture. On the other hand, none of them have yet appeared in the National Enquirer smoking pot from a large glass bong.

No question but there is a big difference between cheating and being stupid.

He should have got a couple of more medals, after these revelations!
Imagine how much faster he would be if he hadnt been partaking in the bong (assuming he didnt just start RIGHT after the end of the Olympics)!
