    I recently picked up a DSLR (canon 400D ) and am slowly working my way out of the PNS mode. Was wondering if theres any photographers who may want to take a few hrs here and there and just go shoot ?

    Either way, why not come out to some of the events and snap some pics to practice there??

    I will add you on Flickr so you can be updated on my car pics. My advice to you is to practice, practice, practice. Go to every car events and shoot away, but make sure you don't just stand in front of the car and take a photo, try and kneel down or do something interesting. No one like normal looking pics that are boring.

    P.S. make sure to crank up that saturation setting on the Canon's.

    now its time to start buying lenses, Good glass is always a plus on DSLR. your shots a very good, take you camera every time you go out and click away. congrats on the new camera. I have always owned Canon would have anything other. here's a few of my shots. here is a great web sight with lots of info.

    Im actually considering coming out to the Cars and Coffee on sat. Ive done a lot of art projects and worked in several mediums, my first teacher was a really good photographer but for me it never really caught outside of the random here and there moments. Its funny because no one ever expects the work around my place to have been done by me. But im getting to know my camera better and having fun doing it. I appreciate eveyones insight and advice im sure you'll be seeing more of me.

    BT- I may just be coming out to take a look at that 348 of yours. My gf and I were having a nice discussion on perhaps adding a new vehicle ;-) shes saying audi Q5 im saying toy.

    I Live in Davie right now. and actually just picked up a Tokina 11-16 wide angle lens and some filters. Should be fun to play with. I come from an art background and have always done art "projects" but I was tired of the limitations on a PNS. Theres only so much editting you can do with jpeg. So I stepped into DSLR but its been a fast learning curve and actually having Cars and Coffee on sat turned out to be a huge help as I was able to shoot with a friend of mine and he was able to help me locate the functions and achieve the results I was looking for.

    Im always in for shooting so if anyone ever wants to get together like i said just send a pm my way and we'll go find something.

    SimpleStevie just got a 430 spider (in TDF blue) and we were thinking of doing a drive around Jupiter to photograph our cars. If you want to come up and shoot them maybe we can schedule it for the weekend after the Campbell Run II (April 11th maybe?). And you could test drive the 348 to get to the locations from my house.
