Nice find! Great colors.

 

Non original colours, non original dashboard material. This car originally was giallo/nero, then it was repainted red.

 

I forgot: non original piping.

 

Just think how close we came to make it yours. Oh well, it's in good hands today.
It was fun talking about Lambos during the time it was advertised. Met people from all over the world. Joe would call at 1 am to ask if it had the paint code sticker in place, so I could tell he was thinking about it full time. I think Ca emissions held him back and Fred pulled the trigger. It now lives with a Muria, LP400 and Espada.

Did I ever tell the orig owner "celebrity" connection?

So close, but no.

Original owner was a Michigan insurance man. He bought this car and a matching red/black 79 Ferrari 512 bb at the same time. Neither hardly ever turned a wheel while in his collection. In the mid 90's the IRS came calling and an asset cat and mouse game ensued. The testimony I have in court records could not be any more strange. It would make a good spy movie. Final scene though ends him up in the federal penn in Atlanta.
Meanwhile his daughter had become famous, in a creepy way. She fell in love with a married guy and killed his wife. A made for tv movie was made about her and Hollywood noticed, inspiring the psyco chick movie "Fatal Attraction". She was a real sexy babe, wearing mini skirts to court and flirting all over the place. Last time I googled her name I saw that she has a sexual harrassment suit against a corrections officer where she is being held. (For life I hope)
Lots more, but basically that is the story. I thought about getting a FTL ATRCT plate, but it kind of scared me.

The 512 bb was bought by a friend in Indy and last year was sold to Florida and is now here on Fchat.
