Out last night with 2 friends [ guys ] which Ive known for about 3 years. One guy is in his 20's. we had dinner and drinks and got a bit messed up. I called my wife to come down and join us and she did. In short, The one guy in his 20's was piss drunk, I at this time sobered up. The little prick tried to grab my wifes boob and she flipped out and threatend to throw him out from the car [ which she is very capable of doing ]. I didnt know what exactly happened , my wife wouldnt say, until my wife and I were driving home alone and she started crying, she then told me. I WAS LIVID !!!!!!!!!! I paid the little disrespectful prick a visit today and said, I m cutting you out of my life like cancer. He said he didnt remember what happened the previous night which i believe is bull****. I also added that if I heard of him joking about the matter that I would knock his ****in teeth out. He apoligized but i wanted to, in the worst way, to punch his jaw loose but didnt.
so should I have just knocked him into next week or what ??

Maybe try to find more mature friends and don't drink so much. But I'm 47 and
tend to have pretty laid back parties, so perhaps I'm a little out of touch.

I would just drop it and move on. You already told him you're cutting him out of your life. That's enough in my opinion. But I'm also someone who likes to solve his problems with words rather than fists so...

Punching some one out these days gets you an orange jumpsuit for at least 6 months. Just drop it.

From someone dealing with criminals every day, Drop it like glowing Radon, and move on. Like was said earlier, you cut him out, leave it at that. I see guys get brought in all the time, I'm like "Uh.. Shouldn't you be on the golf course or something?" and it always starts with "Had a few drinks, ....."

Just consider yourself lucky you were level-headed enough to leave it with just words. I too would be steaming. But I think you handled it well.

You did the right thing by making it clear to the little prick and staying out of trouble. I admire your restrain and coolheadness.

    EXACTLY!

I've been drunk enough to puke into a public urinal at a bar, but I've NEVER been "too drunk" to realize I was trying to get tit from a buddies wife or girlfriend.

    It's just not done.

And end up in a jail cell? I think you did as much as you could to limit the chances of rumors and to point out that the relationship is over but what else could you do? If he did make a mistake... then you're already flipping out over a mistake {still somewhat warranted}, if he meant to do it and thought it through... you're at your limit in terms of speech and threats.

Wife's honor defended, wrong-doer knows his face is in danger of getting road rash = case closed, although a long walk home on the highway without a wallet, ID and cash would have been just perfect.

totally agree w/ everyone. he broke the code. you don't touch another man's woman. there's no such thing as too drunk to know otherwise. end of story, no excuses, period. he knew exactly what he was doing and was hoping to use the "gosh I was really really smashed drunk/I don't remember" excuse to grab some. it is total bs.

and you did exactly the right thing, stopped yourself at exactly the right place... no need to end up in a cage for a few months, as the code the judge follows does not mesh with the code amongst men.

now please post pics of the lovely wife so we can appreciate how dire an infraction this was. ;)

Losing the friendship of Lamour is painful enough... no need to kick him when he's down. Hopefully he will learn a lesson in the end.

Agreed with this and Darth. Dont ever hit the guy as you will not like jail. Just cut him out of your life for a few years and see if he grows up. See if he mans up and sends you and your wife a letter of apology. (But I doubt it.)

I actually had a similar situation in 2002 at my fiance's (now my wife) 40th birthday party...
we had invited some old friends from the 80s (my wife and I were engaged in 1981 but it
fell through - 21 years later we made it 'right'). One of them had had the hots for her
apparently all those years. During the party, he grabbed her and started kissing her in
the hall of my OWN HOUSE. I blew a fuse and kicked him out - but he was so drunk
he couldn't be allowed to drive, so another friend took him home.

I never spoke to him again, to this day. No fight was necessary. Just shut him out
for life as did my (now) wife.
