I don't own a Ferrari (yet), but I love the spirit of this thread. I love to drive, and can't wait for my first Ferrari, so that I can spin the odometer into a frenzy. Of the few cars I've ever owned, this one was my favorite. It's a 2001 Sentra; I fitted it with a Wilwood brake kit. In two years, I put 85,000 miles on it, drove through 20 different states and hit at least 43 different Interstates (and who knows how many route and US routes). I look forward to one day joining this thread with my very own high-mileage Ferrari.

Wilwood makes good products. We're using them on Meg's 57 which will be a driver as well.

It is almost a shame that the wheels and tires hide such a beautiful suspension and braking setuup.

Im in the same position as NNO. I bought a 1990 535 with 210K about a month ago and have racked up 2k since. Sorry it's no Ferrari but this is the first car i paid for by myself so its kinda like a ferrari to me.

Those are great cars man so no shame owning one and with a low-boost turbo setup on the stock ecu you will be schooling alot of cars. I'm actually having a delima as I get closer to the payoff date on my 4Runner, either an early Miata that I can drop a 3SGTE into or a BMW that I can boost? I do not forsee a Mondial C for atleast another 5-10yrs and I need some daym performance!!!!

    tex

    PS,
May I ask you what the 'ball park' figure is of what you got the Beemer for?

Pretty wild thing to think about doing. Today the rules require 4 drivers I think.

    Jas and Joe

Meg always wanted a 57 but I figured she really wanted one that would drive more like a modern car than an original so this is what we built her. We plan to take her on long cars trips through out the country.

Kudos to all that are involved with this thread.

Fantastic to see all these autos being driven and driven hard.

    Enjoy in good health, gentlemen.

Jim, the '57 looks awesome...! Wilwood is definitely the way to go; just make sure the suspension can handle it if you decide to do any heavy braking.

    Thanks, Jas...!

Awesome, congratulations...! I bet that car is a ton of fun...!

    So awesome...

Hmmmmmm. That F40 looks familiar. I'm actually in Fresno. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to visit your ex-F40. But I hear it's still a beauty. It's being WELL taken care of!

Tillmans post is one of those "priceless" moments!when i was in the Dino driving out to the PSC i was enjoying the scenery so much i was a bit late on my timing as it rolled over the magic 100k mark...then on the way back i tried to catch it at an even better mark as it was on 00246 but i was in traffic and in my haste to get the camera turned on etc this is all i got!!!a classic fail but at least its ingrained in the memory!!
