Forgiven If a car has miles on it, DRIVE IT... I do It's only original super low mile cars like SMS's ex that I would keep a Queen.
i agree and for this reason i would never buy a 2k miles car for a BIG premium over a...let's say 20k miles one in great working order (knowing it would likely drive worst and i would be worried to add miles ...) i will stick with the driven but good cars Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mon dieu. Auction Item number: 260376386946 completed and sold for $310,000 on 3/14/09. Wink, wink, nod, nod. 1121038 was a table pounding buy in relation to this result.
1038 was a smoking deal imo...still i find VERY hard to believe the skirts car sold for well over 230k euro in its conditions
Well, I finally found a way to post pics from my computer. These are from when I used to wash it with a water hose, which I don't do anymore. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gorgeous! Nice Countach, so if your not using a water hose, what other kind of hose is there? probably a dumb question, just interested.
Thanks for the compliment. I think it will look better when the wing on tail lights are done. I now use the waterless washing system from Griot's Garage. I have one of those large dust brushes that takes most of the loose surface dirt off first. Then I use two products called Speedshine followed Spray On Wax using microfiber towels. It is way easier, takes a lot less time and looks like a million. I would say it is the equivalent of cleaning and polishing a good pair of leather shoes. Of course, your car has to be pretty clean to start. So, I don't let them get too dirty between washings and they look great.
If your 2-valve Countach does in fact become very dirty, the only way to wash it safely is: 1. Wait for the car to completely cool down 2. Open the engine cover and place a plastic sheet covering the distributors, ignition wires and ignition/coils, and close the engine cover The mounting positions of the aforementioned components and the design of the engine cover of all the 2-valve Countachs means that if you have to give it a good hosing down, you'll be applying a liberal dose of water to components that don't like water if they are to work correctly!
Very nice 5000 S for sale on Ebay : Item number: 300301072360 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300301072360&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:Watchlink:middle:us
Exactly Joe! That's how I used to wash it and it became too much of an effort because I like to keep it looking pretty clean. So, I just do my routine every other weekend depending on how dirty it gets and eliminate the potential engine component problems. With this way of cleaning, I don't think I will ever have to the water method again.
Thats Brian`s car, he posts here on F-Chat under the name NSXER. Beautiful car, but i prefer his Copper LP400S2.
It is my car. I need to sell it to begin the restoration on my black LP400S. The 5000S is a great car and will make someone very happy. It has been fully serviced and is ready go. Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

It's being done as we speak along with the wing removal. Now that I know how to do it, I'll post pics when it's done.
