I was just scanning the Super Ferraris forum and realized that there isn't any specific threads for the next Super Ferrari and I had an idea ("Uh-oh!", eyes roll). Everybody post your answers to the following 10 questions regarding the next Super Ferrari. Just post YOUR best guesses, don't spoil it with "Well, blah ba bladdy bloo from ram tam tiddily dam said pippity rim ram roo..." Any info out there is most likely pure speculation, so if you have read or heard something that seems plausible, simply make that your answer.

    1. WHAT WILL BE THE ACTUAL DATE OF UNVEILING OF THE FINAL PRODUCTION CAR?
    2. HOW MANY WILL BE BUILT?
    3. WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL FACTORY HORSEPOWER RATING (USA BHP)?
    4. WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL FACTORY TORQUE RATING (FT-LBS.)?
    5. WHAT WILL BE THE FACTORY CLAIMED 0 - 60 MPH TIME?
    6. WHAT WILL BE THE FACTORY CLAIMED TOP SPEED?
    7. WHAT WILL BE THE MSRP (US DOLLARS)?
    8. HOW MANY CYLINDERS?
    9. HOW MANY GEARS (NOT COUNTING REVERSE)?
    10. WHAT WILL THE NAME BE (BEST GUESS BASED ON FERRARI HERITAGE)?

Whoever gets closest to the actual details that are eventually revealed gets a party hat full of bubblegum.

    Interesting Idea:

    1. Monza GP september 2011
    2. 299 units - more exclusivity economy still bad, then they make as many as they fancy, nearer to 400.
    3. 700 HP more than 599/Enzo, but not insanely more since weight will be down at 2400-2500 lbs rather than 3000+
    4. 600 FT-LBS.
    5. c. 3.0 sec.
    6. 205 MPH - no pursuit of insane top speed, acceleration
    7. $1M+
    8. 8 CYL turbo
    9. 7-speed
    10. Schumacher

As some of you guys may have read, Ferrari says they are going to experiment with hybrids in the future. According to a friend of mine with close contacts at Ferrari, he has heard rumors that Ferrari may make the new supercar a hybrid or "green" themed car. I personally DO NOT think Ferrari would do this with a limited production hypercar but I wouldn't be surprised if they did such a thing. After all, they are already doing 7 speeds so a hybrid V12 doesn't seem that far-fetched. I am totally against hybrid Ferraris and I think Enzo is rolling around in his grave a bit but you never know what could happen in the next 2 years +.

You guys think they'll return to the F-## format for the name?

I still have a strong feeling about Mutina, Check it out:

"In 1929, Enzo Ferrari created the Scuderia Ferrari; although he was initially going to call the company Mutina from the Latin name for Modena. Ferrari’s aim was to organise gentlemen drivers into a team to make it easier for them to compete in motor races."

    Keep the ideas flowin'!

It's still early in the game, but so far the consensus seems that it will cost @ $750,000 and have a 7-speed gearbox.

This is neat. All the related discussion is wonderful and I hope it continues, but I hope that enough members take a minute to answer the 10 questions, so we have a good sized pool of data to narrow down estimates in every category and then once we are graced with the actual car we can see how close the F-chat community's ideas compare with the Ferrari company.

Furthermore, to the actual Ferrari SPA personnel whom we KNOW read this board, you can come here and see what your fans and customers are looking for as you continue work on this next great stallion.

Except that people are posting what they think will be the next supercar - not what the want from it! There has been a lot of chat about turbo charging from a fuel efficiency point of view (wherever that silly notion came from  - turbo cars aren't fuel efficient).

Don't forget weight, size and redline...

    Ferrari Millechili - Car News
    A thousand chilis.

    BY TONY QUIROGA
    October 2007

For Ferrari’s 60th anniversary, the company showed off a concept that could make it to production in 2010. It’s the Millechili (mee-lay-chee-lee), a sports car whose goal is to weigh in at no more than 1000 kilograms (2205 pounds). Measuring 152.8 inches, which is nearly five inches shorter than a Pontiac Solstice, with a longish 104.3-inch wheelbase, the Millechili looks like a scaled-down Enzo. The theme is efficiency, and to that end the concept has an aluminum structure, a titanium transmission case, and several exotic aerodynamic aids that reduce drag. Despite the diminutive size, when the mid-engined Millechili makes it to production, it will be powered by a new turbocharged V-10 with direct fuel injection and output of more than 600 horsepower. According to Ferrari, the engine will rev up to 9000 rpm and get better fuel economy than the current 4.3-liter V-8 in the F430.

Small the new Ferrari might be, but the price is expected to be very big: $300,000.

I don't think it works like that. A lot of cars have over lapping names - BMW 550i, Mercedes has a ton 550 models and Ferrari 550, BMW 328 and Ferrari 328, MB CLK 430 and Ferrari 430.

They can use numbers as much as they want to but they can't use the same names.

I think that Ferrari could name it the F1 if they wanted to, just like they could name it V8, but they couldn't name it V8 Vantage.
