Hi, I was fortunate enough to find a brand new set of SE30 seat belts for sale on ebay last month. Now I am debating whether to install them and keep the existing retractable shoulder belt for day to day driving or whether to install the new 4 point belts and remove the retractable set up completely. I would think that for city driving the retractable belt would be more comfortable. Can owners with the 4 point set up offer some advice? Working on the SE30 belt pads that were not included, a member said that one more set of the pads may be available. Thanks. Alex

    Alex,
i would not install them and just keep as a cool rare item....
i have been in a car with them and, as cool as they look, on the road these kind of belts are .... a big pain imo

Question, the SE30 little tow bar, that when installed is secured under the front spoiler on the drivers' side, where is it stowed when not installed?

I thought it would be on one of the leather pouches (the one on the passenger side) but it is longer than the pouch by about 2 inches.

I am afraid that it will interefere with the shock that keeps the hood up.

    Thanks.

I don't know if it has a designated place......I wrap mine up in a towel and wedge it down between other stuff so it doesn't flop around.

Thanks to that one thread about the badge location, I am just now noticing it. It actually doesn't seem that bad. Next time I see that purple Diablo around Phoenix that I thought was a SE30, I will check that out.

Yesterday, for the first time, I took the SE30 for a drive and as soon as I parked it jumped into the Downdraft - what a difference in technology - the SE is so much easier to drive - you don't realize how little you can see around you (you can forget about behind) in the Downdraft until you have a direct comparison - both have excellent throttle response and both a very fast - however until I replace the tires on the SE I don't want to drive over 80-90 MPH, they are the original set from 1994 and you can tell in the dead feel.

Steering wise the power steering difference on the SE is evident, also the brakes are far superior.

Sound wise the Countach, with the free flow Euro headers, no catalectic converter (original) and the Ansa sport exhaust is just awesome . sounds like 3 Moto GP bikes! The SE has the Tubi sport exhaust - factory option but is still running the cats. After my next inspection I will have the cats removed - just by emptying the canisters.

    Here are a few pictures.
