TV Coverage of Sebring & Audi "Truth in 24"

Here's the details - great coverage given to this epic race of 2009 and along with the 24 Heures du Mans documentary of the "Truth in 24", marks the beginning of a fantastic racing season.

The American Le Mans Series will open its 11th season with the 57th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida on Saturday, March 21. SPEED will televise the race LIVE from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-11 p.m. ET. American Le Mans Radio and Live Timing & Scoring will be available at www.americanlemans.com.

We'll definitely be set to record SpeedHD before we head to Florida along with the Audi documentary "Truth in 24" that aires on Friday, 20 March on ESPN at 8 pm (check local times).


Beginning at the 2009 season opener in Sebring, two teams - one prototype and one GT - that demonstrate the best overall performance and fuel efficiency with the least environmental impact will win the MICHELIN® Green X® Challenge award. Eleven years ago, it created Challenge Bibendum, the world's premier event for clean vehicles. Three years ago, it created the Michelin Energy Endurance Challenge at the world's most famous auto race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in 2008 extended that award to all of the races on the European-based Le Mans Series.

Sebring International Raceway, nestled among the orange groves and cattle ranches of central Florida, it is the oldest permanent road racing track in North America, evolving from a World War II air base. Sebring is world famous for the annual 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race, part of the prestigious American Le Mans Series. Every year on the third Saturday of March, the raceway hosts thousands of race fans from around the world to witness the historic 12-hour classic.

Christopher called me earlier in the week to tell me of this. Allan has been in the US for a couple weeks. In an email on 11 March, Kay told me her boys have left - Allan a week ago and Marino on Monday. I told her she shall be very much missed at Sebring. Christopher and Josephine will be there very late Wednesday night (leaving CA at 11 pm PDT) bringing her wine! If you don't have a room Thursday night, perhaps they have a couch!

John set all programs to record....Truth in 24, Sebring 12h and F1, I've programed the iPhones and my phone with websites for live timing...guess you might say we're ready to rock 'n roll!!

it was wonderful . . watched it in the Audi hospitality tent
