    You aren't going to believe it but I saw a black Ferrari 250 GTO in Madison.

    Now, I am pretty sure that it is a replica - something tells me that a real 250 GTO wouldn't be on cinder blocks but hey, stuff happens.

    I didn't have my camera with me but I will try to take a picture of it next time I drive by it - probably next month.

    Went to the AJC auto show today....turnout was pretty low, most likely because of the economy. There were definitely a lot less concepts and hardly any exotics there at all this year, probably because neither Butler Tire nor FoA were there. There was a right hand drive GT-R there which was pretty cool and the regular V8 version of the R8 instead of the V10. The ZR-1 was there as well but they didn't have one open where you could sit in it.

    After the show was my only actual spot for the day, walking back from the MARTA station was an Alpina B7 turning into Perimeter mall...my first spot with the new camera :)

    What time did you go? I was there with some friends from 6-9 and it was a bit disappointing to say the least. Only thing worth seeing was that right hand drive GT-R and ZR1. Was surprised that FOA didnt show up this time. I guess they assumed it was pointless since no one would be buying those types of cars in this economy.

    - black Aston-Martin DB9 Volante at a restaurant in Virginia Highland.
    - gray Aston-Martin DBS on Pennsylvania plate OOOH-WEE at BluePointe valet.
    - black Aston-Martin V8 Vantage parked at Home Depot on Lindbergh and Piedmont.
    - red Ferrari F430 Spider on California plate 430 F1 being driven very hard through Buckhead on Piedmont near East Paces Ferry.
    - yellow Ferrari F430 Spider on Florida plates at Caribou Coffee at Peachtree and Piedmont.

    Looking forward to this weekend - weather looks great!

    A few spots from today...

    V8 Vantage at the car wash on Roswell Rd
    Either a 550 or 575 turning from Peachtree to Lenox Rd, it kind of scared me when it drove by and this was the best picture I could get
    An absolutely horrible picture of a black Vanquish getting onto 400 from Lenox Rd
    LP560/4 at the Hyatt...I saw it again getting onto 400 from Lenox Rd and it sounded amazing when the driver got on it pretty hard on the ramp
    LP640 at New York Prime
    GT-R in the parking lot across the street from Lenox
    Also from earlier today, a black Murcielago that was seen by a friend of mine's girlfriend in Decatur

    I've also found it to be impossible to take pictures of cars at night without the flash on this new camera. The only ways I've found to compensate are to bump up the ISO to 3200 but this knocks it down to 3mp which is kind of a waste....the other way is to increase the exposure to a whole second which makes it impossible to use with a moving subject. Daytime pictures, on the other hand, are incredible.

    We were there from about 2:30-5.

    Also today on a different note, I found a great deal on some 1:18 models on craigslist, this guy had almost 70 cars listed for $14 a piece. I picked out the few that I wanted and met up today to get them and I think I made out pretty good. I got a Dino made by Anson, 288 GTO Evo, P4, and 250 GTO all by Jouef. I added a picture at the end of all 4 of them together. He's got a lot more left if anybody wants to take a look and see what he's got, at $14 with the original boxes, it's pretty hard to beat.

    - white Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 at New York Prime valet.
    - white Lotus Exige on Georgia plate YASHA at Ponce de Leon and Monroe Drive.
    - black Rolls-Royce Phantom on dealer plates in valet at a restaurant off Phipps Drive and Lenox Road.

    Saw a yellow 360 Spider with black interior and yellow piping on Roswell, then a yellow Diablo VT and a Shelby Cobra at the huge antique store across the street from Toyota on Roswell. Shelby most assuredly was a replica, and the Diablo might have been as I only saw it in passing. It looked like they were property of the antique shop and for sale so they should still be there. I also saw quite a few other cars in the lot that seemed interesting but I was with a group so I couldn't stop.

    Thanks for the shout out Doug. I have been living in Florida with my brother and have only made it back to Atlanta a few weekends a month. I am now back in Atlanta until the end of summer.

    I did view a red European BB512i Boxer with black trim on Thursday in Buckhead at two locations on the same day. It was first parked at "Nancys Pizza" off of Peachtree, then I viewed it at the Rolls Royce store. This car had Georgia tags 'Fulton County' but also had a black European tag as well with a 'CH Pozzi' sticker in the back window. I also observed a white Mercedes Benz SLR roadster parked at the Starbucks in the Vinings.
    Today I observed a silver F430 coupe at Phipps and a red Ferrari F430 at Pricci's off of Pharr Road. And to throw in a Lamborghini Diablo roadster in yellow at the restaurant "Home" off of West Paces Ferry on the 11th of March. This car was mint and had red dealer tags.
    I came across a motorcycle show today that had a Ducati with a Ferrari shield that caught my eye, I had to take a photo. I hope everyone is well and will be looking forward to a good summer in Atlanta. West

    That orange Gallardo on Texas plates is from Gainesville, I see it regularly.

    Saw that Orange Gallardo with the matching orange rims (Doug posted it up spotted at Phipps a few pages back) again last night...I've spotted it two times now, both coming down Peachtree Industrial towards Buckhead.

    I've also noticed a black Gallardo Spyder drive out of Marist at least 5 times now on my way home from work...must be either a parent or faculty member.

    Good to hear - glad you're back! And I echo WJC's comments - where is the shot of the 512... and the SLR Roadster?! :)

    Interestingly, that Diablo Roadster you photographed is on the same (dealer) plate as this Rolls-Royce Phantom that I saw yesterday and also this Rolls-Royce Corniche that I saw nearly a year ago. Good shot of the Diablo - coincidentally, I was just telling someone yesterday how I never see good cars at that restaurant!

    Speedster replica on Peachtree, same one from the other day
    Arnage in Lenox secondary valet
    Viper SRT/10 at Lenox on California plates, he would later move over to Phipps
    Jaguar XK150 (I think) pulling out of Phipps
    Shelby Cobra, most likely a replica but still sounded awesome on Piedmont
    Mondial on Peachtree at West Paces
    Viper SRT/10 Coupe, the picture pretty much explains where it's at...
    Chris' Murcielago also at Lenox
    Zimmer at Phipps, joined by Jeezy's LP640 Roadster shortly after
    The "what the hell" spot of the day was a Pontiac Solstice with Lambo doors at Phipps
    612 and an older Rolls Royce, I have no idea which one it is, at the Mansion

    I'd say it was a pretty good day for a Sunday..

    Very few new sightings today. In fact, of the twelve cars today, just the purplish Phantom was a new spot. I'm beginning to wonder if we're starting to exhaust the exotics of the Atlanta area, or at least of Buckhead.

    only the blue Murci that belongs to whoever Chris is........if that was my car I would get rid of it....its seen WAAAAAYYYYY too much! or from the looks of the wheels thats on it maybe the guy needs/wants the attention :)

    I think that's exactly what he wants. He drives his car up to Lenox/Phipps/Intercontinental, parks it, and then gets in another car and leaves for several hours. As many times as I've seen his car though, I don't think I'll get tired of seeing it, especially since he changes the rims every few weeks. Hope you are enjoying your new one!
