If the car is crap he won't get much at all. Look at MS that year the Bridgestone tires were shoddy. He was the best and ended up fighting every race to keep his head above water.

My comment was about Kimi, not you. He had such a drab season last year that a win 2 years ago is meaningless, it's not like he was "building" on the win or string of wins.

Alonso is going to win. Jenson Button is way too easy to overtake.

Maybe that's because he's never had a decent car. This year it appears that it might be a bit different, and in a good car I doubt that he's easier to pass than any other driver.

I'm no fan of Alons-hole, but tracing the upward arc of the car's performance in testing, reading his optimistic quotes and then reading this morning Brundle's positive assessment on Renault's progress, I wouldn't be surprised to see him podium.

I think the new regulations, the emergence of Toyota and Brawn to challenge the big three and the fact that the Mac has been nowhere this winter means that the season is going to be pretty cool to watch. It's a crap shoot. I don't see Vettel being able to overcome the RBR car's deficiencies and Buemi has said he'll consider Australia a success "if he finishes the race." FI will prop up the bottom, BMW is not as strong as it has been (although that was true at the start of last season) and Williams is sure to over up the order.

    Forza, FM! Go, Nico!

One good example is Imola 2005. Button was in second place, Schumacher was chasing him down lapping much faster. Eventually Button got overtaken by Schumacher. Schumacher then chases after Alonso and rapidly closes the gap. Alonso drives defensively and laps about three seconds a lap slower than Schumacher had been lapping. Schumacher can't get past, Alonso wins.
