Hey Jim, long time no speak! Last time was Vintage Fest at LRP I believe? How are you? I saw you on the "World's Most Expensive Car Show" with the Audi in NYC. It reminded me of this thread and to come check it out! When was the car in NYC? I would have loved to have seen it. All the best, Kieran
Jim - if you don't mind sharing it - have we ever learned the reason that the 1/18 model of P4/5 was cancelled? Your decision? Ferrari's? Licensing? If it's been covered before I apologize and if it is none of my concern feel free to say so!
It's very complex and may still happen. Until then the story is better told over Scotch and Cigars...
More curious than anything, do you have insider information on what that car is going to be like? Who it's for? What make it's going to be? I'm really not trying to pry, just curious to know if you're on the up and up, or just curious like the rest of us. Peter Hatch
Looks like you're project helped Jason along quite a bit, Jim. Seems to be doing well for himself and the community these days. Cool stuff.
Jim, You should permit Top Gear to do a feature on you amazing P4/5. I'd love the Stig to have a go at the wheel of that beauty.
Translation: "I know exactly each and every one of those details, thank you..." Needless to say, I am sure based on Jason's previous works with Pininfarina, this will be another one for the books! _J
He has already spoken out against giving his cars to Top Gear to wreck, so I doubt he would let them do a feature on it. It did make a great cover article in Top Gear Magazine soon after it debuted. My dad brought me home a copy of it when he came home from a business trip in England. They took such great pictures that I saw things on the car that I didn't even see in person. Peter Hatch
"...race-car like interior..." Very interesting indeed... Thanks for the post Jim! Is this car going to be FOR somebody or is it an design study? That is, if you know. _J
It's a fully legal car that they built to showcase Bertone but is available for purchase either as a one off or as a small series.
