A guy called "alfredaustria" posted this photo on the Atlas Nostalgia Forum. The 1 May 1973 during a rallye-cross (!) in Austria... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Intresting, cover the lights with pasteboard and tape, put on some slick tyres and race. No need for a roll cage! http://forums.autosport.com/showthread.php?threadid=89266&perpage=40&display=&pagenumber=91
Now for sure! But perhaps things looked different in 1973 - hit the Casino in Monte Carlo mid-week - drive thru the swiss alps for a weekend of Rally-Cross in Austria? What finer weapon was there in 1973!
Dan, I totaly agree. However for me it wouldnt work as I was busy being born that year! Love those pics. Must have been great times!
Hi everyone, Here are some pictures of the 1968 Barcelona Auto Show taken from "Blanco y Negro", a spanish magazine. Miura 0961 together with Islero 6015? Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's not Miura 0961, which was registered in Madrid in 1967.The Miura on the photo was, probably, 3465, the one which Amato, spanish Lamborghini importer, and Ferruccio Lamborghini drove to Eduardo Miura's ranch.
Lets settle for "probably 3465", but lets not discount the possibility that it is in fact 0961 for the following reasons: In those days magazine publications had fairly lengthy production periods meaning that the article which was published in early May 1968 would have been photographed months before. I note that the first Miura was photographed outside Sant Agata and did not appear in R&T magazine for almost 6 months. So I think there is some credibility in believing that it is 0961 because 3465 was not even built till the 14th of April 1968 and I find it difficult to believe it was shot and the magazine was produced within 2 weeks! (although humanly possible, but not likely in that period) Personally I think all these images are of 0961, were taken in 1967 (Barcelona Auto Show and visit by Ferruccio to Miura's ranch), and they made their way into the Spring 1968 publication of that particular magazine. Just my opinion...
Joe, Facts are: Miura 0961 had M-605xxx registration (1967); Miura 3465 had M-678xxx registration (1968). Miura M-678xxx is the one at the Miura's ranch, and the 1968 Barcelona Motor Show car. Regards, Antonio
great pictures..absolutely stunning..if i had a million dollars to spend on a car..it would be this one!!..i'm curious what the color is..looks especially brilliant on the miura.
I'm told you don't need a million, well below that in fact. You don't have an excuse anymore, so go buy it. It is a beautiful car. Alberto
You are correct. About three-quarters of a million is the range for a nice example such as this, and as we speak this SV is now spoken for in a private transaction.
Anyone knows this SV? http://www.autosalon-singen.de/Detailansicht.aspx?&fahrzeugid=07862_9005_02_02&modell=Miura%20SV&marke=Lamborghini&languageID=en
I think 8 month ago was the price more like $1,2 mil? Im curius of the price tag on the SVJ also, $2,5 mil?
Highest number on an SV in an auction was $820k plus fees, and privately we achieved $975k for a perfect Bobileff-restored car.
You mean # 4990? http://www.autosalon-singen.de/Katalog-Lamborghini-Miura-P400-SV-J-07864_0001_01_08.aspx?languageID=en
Do you know someone who is interested in 4892? If someone was interested in that car, it shouldn't be too difficult to find the principals who could work a deal.
Sorry, i dont know someone intrested. Im just curius and dreaming to much, with this world economy maybe i dont need that BIG lottery win. Do you know the AutoSalon-Singen SV?
