Greetings Tifosi. Thought I would post a few pics from last summer when I was at Ferrari Maserati of Ontario-Maranello Motors picking up some parts for my little old 308. It was quite nice to have one of the assistant managers take my son and I upstairs to the showroom and spend nearly half an hour answering our questions. Very classy and professional.

They have quite a collection of F-cars on the top floor of the dealership. I was told that the GTO is owned by the owner Remo Ferri who started out as a mechanic in Italy and his low mileage 288 gets out to stretch its legs on special ocaisions. It is spectacular to see amongst the other historical Ferraris.

The final pics are of cars in for servicing. The Enzo has the aerodynamic mirror option to reduce drag:)

    Cheers-Colin Firth-Ontraio Canada

Nice pictures! The GTO looks pristine. Too bad Remo didn't hang onto his F40 prototype. That one was the 'keeper' of the bunch. Another F40 *88583* was a different later one that also left the collection...

Do you know the chassis number of Remo Ferri's 288 GTO?

I do need to change them before the Reunion, but haven't had the occasion to do so yet as Im still running-in the car, so at at legal speeds they are OK.

I give all credit to the collector who had this GTO stored properly in California for years, his car caretaker driving it around the warehouse routinely, hence there are no cracks in the rubber. But they are hard!

BTW Ive noticed several GTOs still running on their original tires and you can see in this thread. Those NCTs must be one heck of a tough tire...

The options are Michelin or BF Goodrich, both excellent modern rubber.

You're correct about images losing resolution when you load them to FChat online!

Thanks, I viewed your website and saw some other images and you can send anything you like to my e-mail below - much appreciated, although our 288 GTO could be getting an over-exposure complex, especially after being hidden from most eyes for 24 years!

Do you happen to know when this image of your website was taken? These cars happen to belong to a colleague of mine...

Well, the website isn't mine, but I have quite a good relationship with most of the people on there. I found the photo, and am trying to get in contact with the respective owner for more details. But it does say in the description that the photo was taken somewhere in July 2007.

Also registered on German registration BO-YE.581 and featured in the French book "Les Ferrari GTO" written by Christian Descombes, published by Editiones EPA. Featured on this thread several times.

Joe. I believe that your best bet is to contact one of the following people at Ferrari of Ontario as Remo's email wasn't listed. Hopefully one of these two individuals will be able to help you with your registry database and will provide you with the VIN for the 288 GTO in the upstairs display area.

I have been told that there are 5 or 6 288 GTO's in Canada (mentioned to me last August.) Currently there is one is for sale in Barrie Ontario. I can't verify any of this information.
