Online Live Feeds for F1 2009?

The wait is over! The 2009 F1 season kicks off this Friday in Melbourne. Last year, thanks to ITV, we were able to enjoy quality live feeds on various mirror sites but since BBC is taking over the F1 broadcasting in the UK this year, I doubt they can be doing the same again. So where else can we watch the race online this season? Is BBC offering the same online live feeds?

Unfortunately, I'll be in my office when Friday Practice kicks off so internet is the only way I can watch a race, and I doubt Star Sports will be broadcasting anything F1 until Saturday.

I too will be unable to watch it on tv. My parents here in Florida refuse to take out a mortgage to subscibe to Speed. I hope I can see it on the net somewhere.

 

www.sopcast.com is one. Free and pretty decent quality.

 

Do we have to download and install a player or something for that?

Situation is ridiculous in australia.
Bernie's new timing conflicts with the local news so its off free to air TV. The pay channels it is showing on aren't available everywhere, including my area!
$40 mil AU govt underwriting and the citizens can't watch it live.

 

sopcast does require a download of a player. I haven't used it in while, think it interfaces with WMP. Google 'live f1 streaming.' That brings up a bunch of results that seem like they might be good.

 

Its on "One HD", all day today, pure Aussie GP.

Its channel 10's new HD channel.

Problem is 10HD isn't showing in my area. My gear can pick it up but there's no signal here.

The only way maybe is to just download the Torrents as they come up from each day.

Sunday is for certain on Ch 10, non HD.

 

It would be great if we could get a list of a few Internet sources for race weekend. Anyone else know of one??

Many of the P2P sites actually have a limited number of server spots. When they get full, you can't log in. Many people I know log in hours before the broadcasts to be sure they get a spot.

 

Is that one working for you? I'm wondering if it's just my comp.
