Ferrari Challenge April 16-19

It's regretful that there wont be customer track time but it's also understandable given the time required for Challenge testing, qualifying and the races. Addto that the FXX sessions and then the Corsa Clienti sessions with the F1 cars.
I thinking this will be a great weekend just the same as the Formula 1 cars and FXX cars put on a great show. Formula 1 cars blasting through the Bridge will be pretty spectacular.

I will cancel anything and everything to be able to make it. I had a blast last year! There were two 250 GTO's! The F430 Challenges were nice aswell.

 

Will a parking area for those of us with Ferrari (and Maserati) road cars be set up somewhere?

 

I'll be at Road Atlanta Sunday, as I will be attending the Ferraris at Disney with my family earlier that week. Its going to be a fun weekend.

 

There will be a Ferrari corral for those who purchase the hospitality pass. Hospitality pass holders will be invited to meet at the Dealership and join us for pastries and coffee. We will leave en-masse for a drive to Road Atlanta to join the festivities. More to come on this as we get closer.
If you need a pass, we are happy to arrange them for you. Call Steven Eckhoff, Craig Forbes or Dan Burris at our office to secure a ticket.

 

Looking at the F-Challenge website (and RA's), it looks like they have 4/18-4/19 officially scheduled with tickets and all.

Is there any possibility "we" can (not sure what words to use here).........gain entry as we did last year (shame on us),
for Friday to watch the practice and all? Although a bit on the more on up-and-up so we dont royally pi$$ off the guard
again. We were able to hang out on the infield around Turn#12.............but also check out all the trailers and cars.

This event will the F430 Challenge , the Historic Challenge, FXX and F1 Corse Clienti activities.

The VIP Package for Hospitality is $120 per day per person and includes:



-1 Day Admission to track
-Parking at the Ferrari Coral (Ferrari’s Only)
-Full Day Catering and Hospitality, including breakfast, Premium Lunch, drinks and snacks
-Pit Access

 

Seth, the above post is spot on. The provisional schedule is full and looks to be entertaining. Once we get a complete and final schedule I will post it here. I have attended the Homestead event a number of times and can tell you that inclusion of the FXX and F1 guys makes for a great time. Anyone that wants us to handle the booking arrangments should send me a PM with their contact information and I'll forward enrollment information back your way.

 

Just finished a conference call with the Challenge Organizors at FNA and learned the following:

The Historic Challenge Races have been cancelled.
There is now track access for Ferrari owners. One lapping session in the morning and another in the afternoon that last one hour each. The sessions are available on Saturday and Sunday. There will be some coahing available on a limited basis.

If you have interest in the driving portion of the weekend, give the dealership a call and one of our folks will gladly give you the particulars and can enroll you in the program.

 

That's disappointing. Did they say why the Historics were cancelled? Maybe a small entry list? Do you know if FXX and F1 Clienti are coming?

Turns out I will not be able to atend the Ferrari Challenge event due to the fact that I will be in Florida that weekend. Take plenty of pictures!

 

4/10ths?!?! Its a sports car! What about 10/10ths!?!?

Think Vicky and I will be there for Saturday and do the Hospitality pass deal...... (Btw. Stopped into FOA yesterday, there is a fee for the extra
lapping on either day).

Who all might be attending? (Either with the FNA/FOA gathering, or, just R/A pass)

I expect to be there on Saturday, but I'm not paying $120 for anything special. I guess that us "paupers" will have to set up our own corral somewhere.....

 

That's what insurance is for.

 

I don't know of ANY insurance company that will cover a road car or race car for that matter ON THE TRACK. Race cars are only insured on the trailer to/from the track and in the paddocks.

Besides, FOA wants $950 for the track time available to the first 20 people that sign up.

 

Track insurance is available. I have it for my Exige. You just have to look for it.
