I noticed that in the "Model Specific" section of the forum, the 612 and 599 are paired with each other while the 456,550, and 575 are grouped together. Shouldn't it be 550,575, and 599 since the 599 replaced the 575? And the 456 be paired with the 612 because the 612 replaced the 456 as the successor of the 2+2 series? Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Once again, I don't mean to nit-pick.

See http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100347 if you're interested in the logic. Basically, it's divided by time & technology, not role. The 400i and 612 fill the same market at a different time, for example, but there's little crossover in the conversations.

The old structure was Vintage/Classic/Modern, which became problematic as the 355s and such aged out of Modern. This design simply allows for new forums when completely models are released, such as the California or the upcoming 430 replacement.

That makes sense. :) Thanks for the clarification!
