I am tired of the non-owners reviews. Anyone own one who can comment on pros / cons??
There are Californias delivered to private owners all over Europe already. FChat is available on the "WORLD WIDE WEB" for those who believe that only Ammuricans from the Youknighted States are reading and replying.
Wasnt meant to be an insult, I was going off an article that I read that NZ was getting there first shipment in mid 2009 so I was guessing that most of Europe had the same delivery sched. Sorry if i misunderstood
I don't see how you can find that as an insult or being rude, he just made a comment correcting you, get over it. If you want to see rude, subscribe and post something stupid in the Politics & Religion section, and compare who is being rude in this situation. Back to the OPs question.
No doubt there are rude members here that by far eclipse what 401SA has said, I im just saying I think it could have been more tastefully said maybe "While in the US no deliveries have been made in the US they have been in Europe" and leave it at that. And trust me was a subscribed member and plan to in the future. I think though from someone who is known in the community to have a vast knowledge of cars (i know his stable and it is very amazing) that he could have been friendlier. Correcting and making an example of are two seperate things, and its times like this that I question if I should put money into this forum, but then I see true car enthusiasts such as Jim G, Dan360 and Kuzi who participate in a POSITIVE manner thats all. As for the OP's question. Sorry that I had the facts wrong, I am sure that a member here of the European geography who has taken delivery will gladly answer your questions, best of luck with the pursuit of your answer Ciao Joe
Understood and well said, I'm not trying to be rude to you either, but after jimmyb posted "wow", you could've also left it at that, instead of posting "+1, Quite Rude". I apologize as well, as I was putting fuel into the flame.
Talk about a knitting bee?!?!? This is what happens when Ferrari leaves the door wide open for someone else to come in and take over. Hey, it's an ugly and heinous car that doesn't deserve the Cavallino and people who love the marque, like 410SA, are going to be pissed! DEAL WITH IT! Someone should have Red pencilled that design a long time ago like you did that post!
^ lol, you guys make it sound as if people bringing California's to Ferrari meets will get beat up and their cars egged.
Im not as miffed as most people are about the california, they still are selling cars that cater to the "classic" ferrari driver the 430 and its replacement, the scuderia, the 599, the 612, and the next super ferrai, They are just broadening there market, while i personally would never buy one, I figure its a good money maker for ferrari so they can continue to develop the rest of there line
I think the thing Ferraristi fear the most is that the California ends up being a blockbuster hit for Ferrari. If that happens, does Ferrari then begin shifting resources away from cars like the Scuderia and focus on "softer" cars with more mass appeal? Personally, I have no problem with the California, but I do have a problem with things like phony exhaust tips, and if the California were to succeed, how much further down the rabbit hole would they go?
I think it would be a great thing if only the car wasn't SOOOOOOO FUGLY! Seeing a beautiful mass produced Ferrari replace all the Aston Martins and Bentley GT's around here would be fine by me!
Im telling you guys, its not THAT bad! Yes, its not the prettiest, fastest, or rawest Ferrari to roll out of Maranello. But it can look good.. Black/Black with Yellow stitching, ball-polished Challenge rims, now that would be one sick looking Cali! Im just surprised how many Ferrari owners despise the California! Chris
I saw Icamanbops remarks but have not heard from him since.....tell him it is time to check back in. Is he the only guy in the Ferrarichat world that has one??
Unfortunately with all the **** that has been written here I do not know if any Cali owner will want to make any comments for fear of being attacked and ridiculed
Well, despite not being an owner, I can at least give a little comment from the California passenger seat, as I got a 20-minute ride in one last Friday. It was the demo car of my local dealer Auto Koenig and it had to be re-fuelled by one of the (female) staff. I asked if I could join her for a ride to the gas station and that was fine Starting up the car sounds just as impressive as any of the other current models, it's almost like a small explosion behind your back. When driving slow (which unfortunately the lady did), the engine noise is modest, but nevertheless pleasantly present in the background. The seats are comfortable and interior space is fine. According to the driver, the California is clearly easier to drive than the other Ferrari models. It is quite difficult to have a good overview over the car though when driving (difficult to see where the front & rear stops). This was also one of the main comments from clients who test-drove the car. You do get a very nice view from the cockpit over those sweeping wheel arches in front of you though. BTW, I can confirm that client-deliveries of Californias have started since a few weeks in Europe. Dealer demo cars have been around for about three months now. And my local dealer already has 55 cars on order! Hope that helped - a little bit. Ciao, Lars T.
I agree with you, I wanna see a TDF blue California with red interior, black stitching, ball polished challenge rims. THAT, would be a sick looking Cali!
Sick as in throw up sick Blue, red, black stitching? Unless you're a fan of the Detroit Pistons.... I will make my final decision after I see a picture of one. Which I highly doubt will happen unless Dan hits the lottery..good luck buddy.
