Seems very Zonda like.
Obviously the wheels are the same but it's because that pic is a composite photoshop based on what is known about the car's styling. In the actual pics the wheels are just typical wheels on a mule off other production cars and the roof line isn't fully visable.
I see just a bit of Lotus Evora in this, maybe in the rear fender. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
^ Yap, looks like they definitely took the curve from the P4/5. I thought Jason left Pininfarina already? I am loving what they've done to the profile, let's hope they carry the same grace and artistry to the rear end.
Reminds me of the Honda HSC Concept a bit. That's a nice looking car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The way the rear half has been designed makes it look too long. Plus it looks Japanese (again), just not a Ferrari.
Not going to make too harsh a judgment based on those pics but I dont like the way those two lines converge at the door handle. I just dont like that 'flame surfacing' crap...trying to resolve two very different curves just doesnt work . Same problem I have w the California... and many other cars (especially BMWs) over the past 5 or so years. I hope this trend ends soon.
I saw the Evora at the LA auto show and I thought it was perhaps the best looking vehicle there. But, its really small and still lacks "muscles". It has a bit of "wimp" in it. Certainly, its the best looking Lotus in many years.
Hmm. I think it's exciting that they're going with the dramatic curves. Throw a big wing on it and you can see some Zonda-ish lines.
Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible mistake!!! Are those G37 headlights? Oh jeeeze
This is REALLY quick and crude but what I feel would be much better than those bangle curves. Remember KISS ? Keep It Simple Stupid Image Unavailable, Please Login
it certainly is subjective... I prefer purity of form. Simple lines that resolve themselves in classical forms. Thats what makes the older Ferraris so beautiful....thats why I love vipers...cobras...GT40....even a Murci has much cleaner lines than this car. When I see lines like this it says the designer is not confident in their abilities.
Wait till we see it with the production wheels, Ferrari always seems to run the mules with non-oem wheels. In addition, once the rear bumper is in place, I bet it will be a stunner. Love the front.
I really not liking the rear of the roof line, thats a bit too curvy, but everything else looks great.
Hear! Hear! Too many self-indulgent curves, too similar to the Evora, etc. That said, it is a few notches better than the 599 or California -- it looks more athletic than the bigger cars. But who knows if this is real or even close to final.
To me it looks like a modern Dino. If it looks like this my wife will love it(she loves the California, I love the Scuderia and 599XX)
Heres what I dont understand. Why is Ferrari FOLLOWING the rest of the auto world when it comes to design traits ? Ferrari is supposed to be LEADING it. Everyone is now doing the Bangle flame surfacing...everyone is now doing the geometric headlights... I dont think this or the Cali or the 599 are ugly cars at all...they are all arguably attractive but they are ALSO all followers NOT leaders in the styling dept. That IS a problem. Ferrari shouldnt be trying to fit their cars in with the times...they should be TIMELESS. These cars are ALL going to look SOOO dated. I may not always like what Lambo does but at least they are blazing their own trails...Ferrari seems intent on following everyone else.
Totally agree with you. My last 5 dd's have been BMW's, but Bangle F'ed the lines up BIG TIME. I see a bit of Cayman in the rear 1/4's of this car...I do not like the shape of the Cayman.
IMO it doesn't look bad, tho it might be one of those cars that has to grow awhile on you and then u LUV it!! who knows...will have to wait till some official pics are about.
