Today we had 22 cars attend our breakfast and 15 cars went on the drive with us to Blanco. We took scenic back roads to extend the drive to 2 hours.

That must have been a great drive and one I wish I could have attended. My best friend lives off of Kendalia Road so I know how great it must have been, thanks for sharing.

We went right through Kandalia. Almost hit a few wild turkeys crossing Crabapple Rd.

Unfortunately, he's pretty busy and doesn't attend our monthly events very often anymore.

Looks like Elite is really pumping out some nice exotics. . . .

What's the story behind that GT40?

That Lambo didn't come from Elite. Lots of people install those plate frames on non-Elite cars just because they are friends with SW.

It's a Superformance GT40 kit. A FCA member has been building it for the last 2 years and it's very high quality. I was looking at all the details and I couldn't believe how well built it looks. I really like the fact that he even made it right-hand drive. I think he said it's putting out about 515HP at the flywheel.

    Michael,

Great pics as usual! That GT40 looks like a TOY in your pictures! They did an AWESOME job on that! WOW! Love the 599 and the Scud is the same color as the one I drove last Nov! They are AWESOME cars! Looks like you guys had a GREAT time! One of these days I will have an Fcar of my own and will join you guys with that!

The owner of the GT40 is always out at H2R. He also has a green lotus, a silver GT2 and a Rosso Corsa F355 Berlinetta. I was thinking that you might possibly know him.

Mike, did you not get a shot of the black TR you were riding in, or is it a color balance thing??

No, I have a real bad habit of forgetting to photograph the cars that I ride in. It was a blk/blk 1994 512TR. The owner is a FChatter.

    Great pics again Mike!

It was a great drive and we had a fantastic day of it.

The 599 that was in front of me has amazing bursts of speed. When he would slow down to cross a cattle guard he could rocket away so fast that he would be out of sight in less than 2 seconds.

I'm anxious to see a few more pictures that other's took of the event. I think Tad got one of my wife and I in Blanco.

Is there a standing or consistent Austin FCA meeting or drive?

Yes, we meet at least once a month for a breakfast gathering and we have a few happy hour events each year. We also have at least one tech session each year.
