    I know I underpriced them huh? :(

They are rare and would look amazing on a GTS, don't you think Emilio, just wide to FILL those flares and with the larger diameter wheels, Pantera's just look out of sorts, and a little too bling?? wtf? I've seen Dino's with oversized replica wheels and they too just don't look as 'right'.

I hope others recognize that they are really something special and bid those babies UP!

    i agree
the 17 and more do not look right imo....same as with countach or mangusta
they need small, fat wheels 15" or 16" imo...17" is a little over the top and anything over this look plain silly to me

A friend of mines parents use to have a house in the Kirkwood/Memorial area. There was a guy across the street from them that restored Pantera's. It was quite a site to always see them around.

Steve what are those tires size wise? Are they a euro only tire, what speed rated, etc? The biggest problem with the 15" wheels is the lack of available speed rated tires, especially for those big wheels of yours. I do like the bigger profile tire on a slightly smaller rim, just looks period correct and far better than the modern oversized wheels so popular with Pantera owners in the US. I think for a lot of owners it has to do with that damn tire availability issue.

rears for the GT5S are 345 in 15" ...same size as a car you know pretty well, Mike....;)
these are YOKO tyres i think... while the other car usually mounts some Pirelli Pzero tyres

the front tyres on Pantera are wider than the CT's ones though

YOKOs are available and even Pirelli are not impossible to get

thanks Emilio for clarifying....I am wondering if there are any 60 series speed rated 15" tires available for these exotics in europe that aren't readily available here? I think I have seen BF Goodrich 'EURO' TA's, Pirelli P-700000000000, lol, or something like that? and...? Anything? Got to fill those wheel wells out and STILL drive on something FAST and safe!

Whenever I secure a set of 'goose' wheels (I have one rear!! :) ), I am going to want THE perfect set of tires..I have contemplated re-manu Michelin XWX's, but @225/70 the 'largest' available size, just not the best aesthetic look on the rear :(

so...has got to be a 60 series tire with a 245 or LARGER sizing and high speed rated....any ideas?

ps...fyi...exact sizing of rims is 15x7 (fronts) and 15x7.5 (rears) on the 'goose'

BF Goodrich are available in 245/60 and 255/60 i believe

Emilio is correct, rears on my car are 13"x15 rim with 345/35ZR15 Yoko A008P and fronts are 10x15" with 285/40ZR15
I use the Yokohama as the Pirelli tyre in the front size is very scarce, the size is only used on two other cars that i know of, rear of Porsche 930 and Lancia Stratos, and where the Pantera is concerned it is the largest front tyre ever fitted to any car, so demand being so small both Yokohama and Pirelli only do a run every few years.
Tyres for the Mangusta on narrow rims will be harder to source, the BF Goodrich that Emilio mentions are available but they are only a HR speed rated tyre, probably your best bet as long as you dont rip around in the car.
Have a look at www.longstonetyres.co.uk also, and use the tyre size finder on the website, but you are limited to period racing Michelins as used on 70's race cars, or Avon CRZ.

    all correct, Steve

i add the 285 front i think is also used on rear bravo wheeled V8 lambo (silhouette and some...few...late jalpas ) we are talking about 100 odd cars so not that this helps convicing Pirelli to make them :(

BTW: Steve: can we see a pic or 2 of these WIDE front tyres on your blue beauty? they are wicked looking and one of the reasons i am in love with these cars!

Here you go Emilio, they are two pics from several years ago, at the moment the car is in the UK having some tlc to the front spoiler after a bad rut in the road damaged it, along with some maintenance. I can take some pics when it is back if you tell me what you would like to see.

isnt that the Pangoose? from what i recall, that Gr4 wheeled goose is built off of bits and pieces from a pantera chassis with most of the torsional strength coming from the rocker sills rather than the backbone. notice the high sills and short doors?

its quite a bit different than your standard goose and has often been labled (mislabled?) the "shelby goose" from the added stickers

can anybody add any info on this very interesting car?

isn't that Mangusta one of the most gorgeous cars to look at? I mean, wtf? where is the enthusiasm boys, that thing is freaking BEAUTIFUL!! Whoever penned in the P-wheels, the subtle flares, the color scheme, etc. it is really attractive! I am a little sick, I know :/

I hope to see more photos of that car, are there others around? Any with the rear 'gullwings' closed? oops, never mind, I just checked the link to the for sale ad and there it is, all closed up, still would love to see ANY photos of this car :)
