The problem rests with my 8-year old daughter. I guess she's been talking to other kids in school, and now she has the idea that Lamborghini's are much cooler than Ferrari's. According to her, they are faster, and better. My 5-year old son, agrees with her (he always does what she wants to do...).

I don't know what to do. I've tried logic, I've discussed formula 1 history. Maybe I need to try spanking?????

    Help!

This is a misconception I battle day to day as a highschooler. Logic will not work on the uninitiated so its best to use pictures. I suggest the issue of motortrend with the pictures of the California in Sicily. As for your son I know as the youngest of four kids that soon enough he will insist on doing the opposite of what she does. This will lead into the period where they are allied against you and begin to point the gray hairs you have received courtesy of them. That's where my siblings and I are right now. Just keep at it becaused they last thing we need is another Lambo fan spouting nonsense about the "raging bull." More like raging bullsh** if you ask me.

    Good Luck!!

Not a spanking offense for the kids.

Now, if your wife makes some Lambo comments...

Clearly spankings are in order. As the old saying goes, 'spare the rod, spoil the tifosi'. You need to whip them into shape. I knew how to spell 'Porsche' correctly when I was in first grade - and I had the rosy cheeks to prove it...! :D

    Haha! :D:D:D

Now to solve the problem, you need to tell them that people with Lamborghinis kick puppies. That should to the trick! :D:D:D:D:D

Spanking is NEVER an option for children. I suggest this more "humane" way. Use the Clockwork Orange apparatus and force them to watch the movie Gran Prix over and over.

Frankly, this is reason why I don't like Lamborghinis, (Not because your daughter likes it).

It has become a very "showy" "cool" car. I feel it's the car all of the young rappers should be driving and the car taped up on every kids wall. I could go on on about this, but all I know is I dislike Lamborghini for reasons like those (no offense to any owners).

Ferrari on the other hand is a very classy sports car, along with (In my opinion) Porsche.

Just let them enjoy the Lambos and they'll eventually grow out of them. Lol!

She just needs to watch Magnum PI or Miami Vice a few times. (maybe a little young for Miami Vice)

Lambos are flashy but Ferraris are classy.

it's a question of class. you need to demonstrate the difference in a way they can understand. show them a bespoke suit then a lime green leisure suit. as children they most certainly will like the green suit due to its flashy color. explain the difference and why the handmade suit is not only better quality but how the people seeing you in it treat you.

You can try many things. But seriously, they most likely won't work. I would guess that most children would choose a Lambo over a Ferrari, eventually they will out grow them (Lambo) as they do their clothes.

Let them have their fun and be kids, but hopefully their opinion will change. :)

Bring her for a test drive in a Ferrari. That should change her mind.

Too little indoctrination when they were smaller. You have to get them young.

Or not enough rides. Take them out with the windows down and drive the snot out it.

THEN you can tell them Lambos are driven by people who kick puppies. And were big gold medallions! ;)

Oh, and demand your money back from that school. Clearing high time to find a different place to educate them. How about Home Skooling?

Look on the bright side: Once they hit high school and get indoctrinated with "An Inconvenient Political Correctness" a few times, they'll be "taught" that all cars are evil, and that texting takes precedence over driving.

I suggest therapy -- at the local karting track.
(And maybe a Danica Patrick poster.)

(Of course, then she'll believe that anything with fenders isn't cool. :p)
